Ohh.. very nice! Despite the hard edges of the rock formations, it still feels loose and free. The soft blues and purples really make a nice serene atmosphere. Do you have a link to this tutorial? I might want to try.

The videos I watch all the time and have really helped me are from digitaltutors.com

It looks really good and useful, but I am a poor sod. Maybe one day when I have a proper not low wage job.

Yeah, my work pays for it since I constantly need new training on programs we use... so it worked out for me.

Yay! Thank you, I'm still very new to this painting thing as it's so much different than vector work for me, but hey at least I'm trying right?!

Yeah, it's definitely a very different experience than vector.  Did you not do very much digital painting when you worked on your PMs?

I did very little when it came to PMS. You know,  basic hair/face painting and creating atmosphere, but relied so heavily on stock that I cannot claim it was pure painting. When I look back and compare these paintings to PMs the painting within my PMS seems very elementary.
