Description
The original template is right here~! Hoping this in itself is enough credit, so I wouldn't have to fill up the creator's inbox with "Here's my pic using your parchment!" I've a feeling that'd prolly get old fast. XDANYWAY...STILL felt a bit indecisive about Bestiary formats. The "boxes" one I think is good for doing a lot of beasts at a time, but this was my attempt to be at least somewhat original with beast creation. Mainly, I referenced a "Creature Design Idea Creator" www.conceptstart.net/creature-… and it came up with "Hedgehog" "Northern Right Whale" Lives: "A Volcano". Personality: "Lazy" Soooo I combined the concepts together into a creature KINDA like that, albeit less obviously derived!

Tara's Extra Notes:
- These creatures live in the Furnace Kingdom. Often in volcanic ash fields, where you'll find an abundance of strange plants managing to grow despite the heat, you'll find patches of sharp rocks. CAREFUL. That might be a Lavalurker lying in wait.
- Lavalurkers are solitary by nature. It kinda has to be this way, because their whole method of hunting involves in digging out an area among the ash-fields, and springing up to grab unsuspecting prey as they forage here. They are interspersed, as a large population in one area would cause foraging animals to avoid that place altogether.
- The only time they really come out and congregate is when it's time to mate. The preferable sexual selection factor is how hot a male's Heat Beam is, so when it comes time to rut, males fight for dominance by engaging in a "beam struggle", where the goal is to have one heat ray overpower the other.
- A female's spines are much sharper than a male's, which is their way to protect themselves from forced copulation. Only a male it prefers can safely mount a female, as it will lower down its spines for her mate.
- When female Lavalurkers lay eggs, they live much the same lifestyle as before, allowing prey to come to them. Albeit their eggs are situated directly below their underbellies, to allow their body's warmth to incubate them. As a result, females become even less active than they already are, and spend days at a time sleeping when not hunting.
- Baby lavalurkers look much like the adults, except their rocky spines have not developed yet. So their mothers carries her brood around in her mouth, like a crocodile, until such a time that their babies' spines start growing sharp enough to prick the inside of her mouth.
