Description
This...has got to be the first picture I've actually colored in after a LONG time. Again...still getting used to having a job. But this creature idea has been in my brain for a while, and my goodness, I am so glad I finally got it on canvas!Again, probably not the most fantastical of creatures, since it's kinda based on a prehistoric animal.
P.S. Simbakubwa is a real species! Albeit orishakaka is a fictional subspecies.

FACTS:
- Wargs are from a family of carnivorous animals known as Hyaenodonts. They are not related to wolves or hyenas, being rather distinct from them. The really large subspecies such as this one can exceed even a polar bear in size, and are bare-skinned to help them dissipate body heat.
- Their lack of body heat also makes them able to sweat a lot. On one hand, this boosts their endurance greatly, allowing them to keep tracking down prey over long distances, even if they are faster than they are. On the other hand, this means Wargs have a very pungent body odor.
- The Warg specializes in taking down very large and powerful prey, such as water buffalos, hippos, rhinos, elephants, and even some dinosaurs. In the wild, Wargs typically hunt alone, as they will eat practically everything on a carcass--even the bones.
- However, the Orcs have a historically fond relationship with the Wargs, having an aptitude for taming and riding them--oftentimes as members of hunting parties who can take down large prey consistently.
- It is customary for Orcish tribes to bestow Wargs with tattoos, like they would for a person. It should be noted, Warg skin is thick like a rhino's--so thick they don't even feel the tattoos being etched on.
- Similarly to the Orcs, the Gnolls/Bultungin also regard the Wargs in a divine light. Their local legends say that Wargs are steeds of celestial beings, and their proximity to the sun has singed off their fur. Hence, the reason they are hairless.
