Description
Uploading the sketch first, because I don't think I'm gonna have enough time tonight to do a full color of these. Tomorrow's the day I do morning errands, so heaven knows when I'll get the strength to finish this after THAT. @_@For the moment being tho, please enjoy these designs!
No Dex entries yet. A bit of incentive to come back to this later. But I WILL Leave some designer notes!
AN = Artist's Notes
EDIT: They have finally been colored and completed!!
And did a pretty major revamp to Pumolniya and Pariya's look!
---------------------------------
Cikavore - A very odd set of circumstances is required in order to breed these Pokemon. However, those who succeed are said to be bestowed with good luck. At least up until a certain age.
Drekavore - This bizarre Pokemon can make a wide variety of noise with its rather massive vocal cords. But its presence is said to be a terrible omen, as they gather to scavenge in villages falling on hard times.
Bukavore - With its sound abilities fully developed, Bukavore now lives as an apex predator that uses booming sound waves from its throat to concuss large amounts of prey underwater.
AN: Based off of the Cikavac, the Drekavac, and Bukavac of Slavic folklore! Pretty much the only thing tying them together is the "vac" suffix at the end of all their names. They're pretty much an aquatic, draconic version of the Whismur family, which works VERY well in their favor since sound transmits faster in water than in air.
P.S...Cikavores can't actually grant wishes. But they CAN learn the move Wish!
---------------------------------
Nasalite - Nasalites are common, but surprisingly hard to find due to how high above the skies they levitate. They use "petal panels" to help them gather sunlight.
Noseray - Noserays are fiercely protective of Nasalites, and float much higher than them. They use their big noses to sense Pokemon that may prey on Nasalites, and will fire a solar beam from their noses to chase them off.
AN: Based off of the word "Nosegay". I.e. a bunch of flowers. I THOUGHT it was gonna be a bunch of creepy-looking, big-nosed flowers together, but somehow it turned into a satellite that fires solar rays from its schnoz. XD
--------------------------------------
Cerebifex - Cerebifex is not one Pokemon, but a vast colony of tiny worm-like Pokemon that form together into one singular mind. They specialize in getting bigger, stronger Pokemon to allow themselves to be "piloted" by them.
AN: Based off of Tubifex Worms and a brain! And because one of my Discord fellows thought it looked like the Flying Spaghetti Monster, decided to throw caution to the wind, and go with the reference!
--------------------------------------
Krastache - Krastaches often live in close proximity to people, so they often make it a point to act friendly. They live in gardens, but contribute to their well-being to persuade their owners to let them stay.
Dilludek - Dilludeks are a rarely seen, but welcome sight. They disguise themselves in the daytime as garden ornaments. At night, they crawl out of their tunnels to clean people's homes, in exchange for a few berries and vegetables.
AN: Based off of a Pink Fairy Armadillo, a Star Nosed Mole, and the Krasnoludek. Pretty much a Slavic version of a garden gnome, or the Swedish Nisse/Tomte. This was suggested by , and REALLY love how these came out in particular!
--------------------------------------
Odyuni - While their colorful skin may look conspicuous, it helps reflect light, so those attempting to hunt them are too distracted by their sparkling to effectively hunt them. They travel in groups to help this "dazzling" effect take place.
Narwhim - These wondrous Pokemon use their great horns to purify the water they swim in, making it safe no matter what. Even so, they crave balance, and will display their great strength when times become chaotic.
AN: Based off of narwhals and unicorns, and Odobenocetops. Of course, y'know? Kinda surprised this concept hasn't been overused.
----------------------------------------
Leechja - These Pokemon use their sucker-like mouths to grip onto cave ceilings with ease. When they sense a source of blood, they need only to drop down, and a few seconds to drink to their fill.
Pijavamp - These Pokemon were thought to be a sort of vampire in older times. They prefer to terrify their prey to get their hearts rushing, therefore making their next meal that much tastier.
AN: Based off of the Pijavica. Which roughly translates to "leech". I know :iconskarmorysilver" suggested a shadow bat, but I figured a good way to mix things up would be to make it not a bat-vampire. But a leech that LOOKED like a bat-vampire. What you get? A FLYING F***ING MURDERLEECH. Also, gonna make its eyes even more horrifying in color. XD
------------------------------------------
Pumolniya - The armor on their backs appears to be made of a sort of magnetic, sand-like substance. It's not hard in itself, but even a touch can transmit high amounts of electricity for self-defense.
Pariya - The magnet-sand on their backs has solidified into a highly conductive "weapon" that can fire concentrated blasts of lightning. This cannon takes time to charge, but its armor allows it to endure damage dealt to it.
AN: Based off of Pareiasaurs! Namely Pumiliopareia, and Pareiasaurus. Sorry it's not creative.
EDIT: Improved them a bit! Pretty much just cobbled some electrical-looking stuff together in a semi-coherent fashion, to make Pumolniya's tail resemble a power line. While Pariya kinda reminds me of a really big railgun with legs, if you can call it that. And also kinda looks like a hercules beetle too. XD
------------------------------------------
Nobeleon (Routed Forme) - A Pokemon that purportedly came from Kalos. It was once a noble Pokemon and a powerful combat leader, whose currently undignified appearance is the result of it badly failing an attempt to invade Russo.
AN: Based off of *SNORT* Napoleon Bonaparte. The idea for this rose in a Discord chat with , where I learned (from Wikipedia) the novel "War and Peace" focuses largely on Napoleon's failed attempt to attack Russia. Which led to the idea of a Fakemon that happened to be a tiny, angry, frozen Napoleon that attempted to invade Russo, but failed miserably. XD
And it became a promise of mine to my good friend, to make this pissed off dwarf into a reality.
-------------------------------------------
Ballermine - This Pokemon slides on its icy claws, thoroughly mastering its environment with a mix of graceful moves, and naturally quick reflexes. Under any circumstance, Ballermine is NOT to be underestimated.
Saballon - With its "routine" perfected, Saballon is a talented Pokemon that fights with finesse and deceptively fast claws. It is powerful and prideful, yet whenever possible, prefers to fight with flamboyance over brute force and raw tactics.
AN: Based off of Ermines, Minks, Sables, and what have you! Graceful mustelids, as well as ballerinas and figure skaters, suggested by . I decided to go for a less common typing, AND make this thing even more dangerous by giving it an ability that ALSO grants it Ice-Type STAB. So basically, everything about this is a Krookodile's worst nightmare in battle.
Not to mention..its appearance also reminds me a lot of this other Russo Fakemon I've done. Huh. Two pretty-Mon families in one generation.
Neat!
-------------------------------------------
WELL that's the end of that so far! Lemme know which one(s) you like best!
Meanwhile, see ya in the morning!

EEEEE! My ideas came out AMAZINGLY great, it seems! The mole-gnomes are so adorable and actually draw from a Slavic mythical creature to boot, and those vampire leeches are so wonderfully creepy. I didn't even think of a bat-like leech, but it just works. I'm glad you were able to take my suggestions and those of other people and make them work as fakemon, and I look forward to seeing all of them colored!

Thank ya very kindly dude!!
I definitely liked working on the Leechja and Krastache lines, if only because their inspiration from Slavic mythology helps their designs fall into place.
ESPECIALLY Leechja, finding out Pijavica means "leech". Imagine these little abominations being Russo's answer to Zubat. @_@
Only thing is I feel I could've done better with Pumolniya's line. That one seems low-key plain. But hey, I'll look into ways to spice up its design!

Ice dancer Fakemon came out wonderfully~! <3
Love it the most, others are also nice, but a bit repetitive with their whole line
-but then, some Pokemon just are like that (wish Skiddo looked more than just miniature
Chibi version of a Gogoat <,< )

Thank ya so much dude!! Out of all the ones I've got so far, that one's gotta be one of my favorite lines. X)
Also just out of curiosity, which ones look repetitive to you? Just so I can hopefully improve these by the time I color them in!

Ah yes! If I remember correctly, that would be Jeteon and Meleeon. Dunno if Argenteon will be part of the roster, but I definitely think those first two would definitely fit a wartime setting like this!
I bet Meleeon would make a GREAT drill sergeant.

I always saw Meleeon as more of the agile judo master type. And it just so happens that Russia has their own form of martial arts, called Sambo. Which conveniently focuses on skillfully exploiting weak points rather than overpowering - perfect for a Pokemon of Meleeon's small stature.
So I think Meleeon ought to be less the "ass-kicking drill instructor" and more the "special forces neck-snapper" type. I'd suggest making his colors some kind of camo scheme.
As for Jeteon, well, the plane they're based on will obviously have to be something Russian. MiG or Sukhoi, take your pick.

Ah, so an Eeveelution focused more on tactics than raw strength. I like it already.
Although for color scheme, figured it'd be more akin to Sambo outfits. Like this blog.awma.com/wp-content/uploa… with red garb and the face guard.
If anything, Jeteon would have a more camo-like pattern. Kinda sorta.

Hmmm, lose the face guard and perhaps the competitive colors could be the Shiny variant.
As for Jeteon, there's only one color scheme I can think of as appropriate:

Ahh, right. Normal coloration would be something more apt for tactical operations.
And...huh! That would work really well for Jeteon! I'll go with that!
Meanwhile, I don't have any drawing materials with me, but still planning which Mons to include for Part 3!
