DISCLAIMER: A bunch of these not belonging to someone are based off of either reports of actual aliens, or Vintage Sci Fi art!And that Mantis at the end...is actually a thing that David Huggins claimed really happened. As in yes, giant glowing mantises really DID seee him screw with an alien. NOT SORREH~!!
--------------------------
"Ey, Liliel...ye told us ya needed to find yer crew. But who ARE they exactly?"
"Ah yes, Dr. Maerna! I should've mentioned them so much sooner! Well in that case...with the Accounting Pad, I'll show you. And tell you all about them..."
---------------------------------
1) Ergo Proxomitron DI (Draco) (The First Mate)
- So this guy is a Draco. Let's get that out of the way, because both their corrupt rulers AND their sustenance on negative energy (brainwaves emitted during certain levels of negative emotion) has given them a pretty shit rap. But you know...Ergo's legitimately one of the best people I've ever known. And really, REALLY small for his kind, because he's one of the winged ones. THOSE can grow up to 14-22 feet tall, but Ergo hardly reaches my waist! Not to mention, he eats negative energy too...but not for the same reasons other Draco's might. Negative Energy consumption is touted by the Draco Government as a method of emotional domination, and how other species were made to suffer for their own benefit. I don't know how many Dracos actually subscribe to this. But Ergo? He empathizes with people, being a shoulder to cry on first and foremost. He simply uses his negative energy drain to purge the bad, and help people have peace of mind in hard times, while understanding how they're feeling. I know this, because he's done this for me more than one occasion. He's one of my best friends, or even like a big brother to me...and I want to see him again...
---------------------------------
2) Aequum the Collected ( ) (Blue Avian) (The Lead Operator/Bodyguard)
- He told me that he met Z'Lenia in a dream. Literally! Being a Blue Avian who regularly practices spiritual guidance, he's always so calm and collected, and had gotten his name for that quality. From what I heard during a talk with him, he came to Z'Lenia, sensing her emotional distress from an unsuccessful day of spiritual reflection, and had become her new mentor from then on out. At first only appearing in her dreams, to teach her stuff. Then manifesting in real life, when she had fallen for him! As calm as he is, he has an intimate knowledge of Z'Lenia's emotional states, and was understanding enough to go along on her pursuit to become a bodyguard for a starship captain. Albeit it was Aequum who taught her how to pilot, so she could have more reason to get hired. And now look at 'em! They're hardly ever seen apart! It is my sincerest hope that our fall from space had not separated them. Yet I'm so concerned for them, because... because if they were still alive, Aequum should have reached me in my dreams. But nothing...please, let them be okay...
---------------------------------
3) Z'Lenia ( ) (Lyran) (The Assistant Operator/Bodyguard)
- Spunky, spirited, but has little understanding of dimensional principles. That's Z'Lenia for you alright! But here's a little secret...I actually knew her before the Enterprise gig. I was under the wing of that same spiritual teacher on planet Tara! Well...she didn't graduate alongside with me, because she got held back. But it was such a surprise when she finally came back to me, and this time, with a Blue Avian romantic partner at her side. I was hiring for a crew, and she was among the first to take it up. And from there on, she had told me about her experiences having dream-syncing sessions with Aequum, and how much he taught her. Even though she couldn't put it into practice herself, she took SOMETHING valuable out of that experience. Some time into it, she came to me and a few other reliable crew members for advice on how to keep their relationship afloat. Not because they're fighting, but merely because she wants to figure out how ways for herself to contribute to their relationship. I just...hope that at least THAT much has been kept intact after our crash-landing.
---------------------------------
4) Dr. Oliver ( ) (Quirk-Human) (The Head Researcher)
- Dr. Oliver has a real eye for detail. Or three. Yeah, he's a Quirk-Human whose Quirk is having a Third Eye that allows him to take in information extra-fast, and extra accurately! He's had it his whole life, which has led to him being extremely quick to catch onto things, and is quite the perfectionist in terms of how he carries out research projects! Mostly knowing that his eye has the effect of informing him of things he's screwed up in, even if quite small. And he just gets really worried whenever things just seem too out of whack. While he doesn't work fast, he does work effectively and accurately, being relied on to carry out long-term research and analysis. Heck, he can even provide analysis in other fields, such as mechanics and medicine! Also um...he's germophobic. His eye literally allows him to SEE the germs, so he tries to keep everything sterile and organized. Goodness, and after landing on Cauldron, he's...probably having difficulty. To put things VERY Lightly.
---------------------------------
5) Adlere Feldstar ( ) (Flaurgii) (The Medic)
- Man, Adlere...she's worked so hard to get to where she's at now. She started off as a nurse, but then through additional training and modifying her own suit's gear, she was able to become a top-notch medic. The kind to call upon when Healing Pods just won't do the trick. And really, she just wants people to be able to get along, and hates violence, seeing the numerous kinds of horrid injuries she's had to treat in the past. At that, she always makes sure to have an inviting look and tone, to keep her patients calm, but through my own telepathic syncing with her, she's so...she's so full of worries. She needs someone to help keep her at ease. For much of the time, that was me. And Dr. Oliver too, whenever they're around each other, since they can understand each other's worries. I'm just curious how Adlere will be able to keep her identity safe, because I don't really see any easy way to conceal her alien nature.
---------------------------------
6) Hopyap ( ) (Hoph-Hoph-Hoph) (The Helmsman)
- Admittedly, the Hoph-Hoph-Hoph get a pretty low opinion from other races. Which is why even I was surprised to see him apply as an astrophysics expert! I was more than happy to have him aboard, yet was still surprised at how uncommon this was! At least...until I noticed he seemed unhappy in his work. Dutiful. Highly qualified. But unhappy. That was when I just did what I thought was right...I made friends with him. Told lame science jokes. Had some good laughs and small talk. And let him get off his chest why his job weighed so heavily on him. Because well...when spending time in space with this many people, why not make the traveling experience a good one to look forward to? So well, lame science jokes became something of a language between us! I say the joke, and if he's in the vicinity, he's bound to finish it. I miss that a lot...
---------------------------------
7) Burphthalan Vrashwhal ( ) (Aphtenoid) (The Chief Engineer)
- Ah Burph, good ol Burph...he chose to enter the dangerous and unpredictable world of starship engineering, even though it had him shaking in boots. He's safety oriented like a good deal of other Aphtenoids, and he actually makes that into something great, by being mindful of how the Outland Enterprise runs. How safe it is! He has rigorous standards, but they are all vital to keeping our ship in top condition. Or rather...were. He literally went down with his ship. I don't know if that necessarily means he's dead, since our satellite is picking up signs of activity in the Enterprise's wreck, but I just hope he's okay...suffering a blow like that to his ship AND his hard work must be hell on him. When I see him, I'll be the first to give him a big ol' hug, and tell him things'll be okay! So long as we stick together to pick up the pieces!
---------------------------------
8) ZX-8C ( ) (Robot) (The Ship Butler)
- This fellow is kind of an anomaly. We were on the market looking for a new Helper-Bot to Asssist in management of the crew and ship maintenance. And then we came across him, he decided he just happened to like us and just came with us. Just like that, on his own accord. The way he acts, the way he acts all quirky and roguish, it all makes him extremely easy to underestimate. What is he hiding? Well, for one thing, his robotic body seems equipped to do far more than what it appears intended for. Aside from making tea for us, he has inexplicable skill in military operations, such as being a scout, bodyguard, or sniper. But weirdest of all? He can be blown apart very easily. But just as instantly reassembles himself back to 100%, as though without a scratch! And we'd have just hired him for menial work! Heh, it reminds me of that one incident I heard about a Super-Powered Robot Meter Maid...that's a story for another time, but in any case, I haven't quite gotten a good read of him yet. Huh.
--------------------------------
9) U-2764 (ZAPFR Unit) (The Info-Technician)
- Otherwise named "U-2", she (U-2 identifies as female now) was made by Canis Major Inc. A rival of robot-making to the highly infamous Sirius Cybernetics Corporation. Canis Major is mostly touted for being highly practical in its designs. Practical enough not to construct every piece of robotics technology with unnecessary AI. Never will you see from them an airlock door have a capacity for boredom it can never remedy. So we bought U-2 on the market, and true to their form, it was effective at the job, but behaved little more than a living prop. Because Georgia (see below) constantly had to work alongside it, having this big humanoid form who has no personality, and never talks to anyone...it made her a bit uncomfortable. So she fixed that, by giving it a bubbly personality, a sense of humor, and an ability to emote via icons! And Canis Major...HATED it. They actually tried suing Georgia for giving U-2 a personality, since they thought it'd spoil their business name, by equating them to Sirius Cybernetics corporation. If we lost, they'd just scrap her, and rebuild her from scratch, essentially killing her. That time...we ALL took our share in defending U-2, and we ultimately came out on top. Caused local law makers to rethink how people see robotic helpers. Because of this, I can say, U-2 truly considers us her friends. And likewise, she is our friend too. Not even a crash-landing on Cauldron is going to make us see her as any less of a person who deserves friendship and love.
---------------------------------
10) Eclipse Ring Diamond ( ) (Gem) (The Second Mate)
- Get this! I heard that Eclipse Ring Diamond is a naturally occurring Diamond FUSION! That occurred while she was incubating in her Kindergarten! Albeit one that had occurred due to being made on a colony outside of their Homeworld's jurisdiction. Because this colony wasn't made legally, a lot of the people on the job aren't technically qualified to be making Gems and Kindergartens. But they did so anyway. Eclipse Ring Diamond WOULD'VE been a high ranking official, or even a new leader of theirs, made to serve and cater to their colony's needs. But coming out as weirdly as they did...nobody really had any idea of what to do with her. So they left her to her own devices, with no purpose. Thankfully enough, she took the time to find her own purpose, and that she had! As our second mate! The officer who manages the flight deck, and oversees ship operations, giving tasks to Aequum and Z'Lenia (aka, the Bridge Bunnies). I could've sworn that I saw her escape pod crash land somewhere eastward...maybe towards the Jade Kingdom? We could check there for her!
---------------------------------
11) Eltanin ( ) (DRA-309 Unit) (The Data Collector)
- Eltanin is a lot of different things mashed together. He's an energy being. Using a biological/nanotechnological body. That looks like a dragon. With a whole bunch of research tools, probes and cameras in his body. And that's because he's taken up occupation as essentially the ship's living research probe, being able to traverse inhospitable environments, get whatever data there is to find on his surroundings, and bring it back to the research HQ for study. He's like say...a dragon who hoards information. Yeah, that's it! He doesn't interact much, because doing that is what he sticks to most of the time. And I'm pretty darn sure that when we crashed, Eltanin is more than likely still in one piece, considering that he's treated worse conditions like a walk in the park. Not much else to say on that.
---------------------------------
12) LuSIN LuURRA (Triangula) (The Ship Purser)
- If I had to describe LuSIN in as little words as possible, it'd be..."all business". She's the lady keeping track of how much stuff costs, how much we've spent, and how to make future plans by taking budgeting into account. And on one hand, she can be kind of a buzzkill, since she doesn't believe in altruism, and often actively tries to look for flaws in shows of goodwill with no obvious benefit. And she's sassy to people. On the other hand, she really helps keep her co-workers on duty, is willing to give things a chance to play out, and takes breaks between stoicism between dry sarcasm to congratulate someone for being a good crew member. So we can't really complain, since a lot of what she says is legitimate. And like the rest of us, she does have her unexpected moments. Like...that time I ended up working for BooBies. That was HER idea. And she ended up modding her body into a more voluptuous figure to join in too! And heh...she's way better at dancing than I would've suspected. Heheheh, when we're reunited, I'm not gonna let her live that down, I'll tell ya that much!
---------------------------------
13) Gaarishz (Thuban Baleen) (The Supply Officer)
- You know...I really look up to him. He's the kind of guy who comes across as a bit abrasive at first, and SEEMS to be unpleasant to work alongside. You know, get him a cup of this, no slacking off or that...but he's incredibly qualified for his position, and can crunch down weeks worth of work in a day. And off-duty is when he truly shines. He's in charge of getting and distributing materials and other stuff we need to us, and since he's had an extensive career as a smuggler in the past, he not only has connections to get us out of a pinch. But also a great many stories to tell on those past days. Why he came to be the dedicated crewmate he is now. How he made so many efforts to better himself since those old days. And well...I can really appreciate that.
---------------------------------
14) Carbon Duster Caastrix (Marite) (The Combat System Officer)
- Lemme tell ya, Caastrix is COOL! He was a badass on his home planet, where he was one out of many warriors cloned for a sort of super-soldier program. Except he exceeded ALL of his clones so much in independent thought and strength that they cloned HIM next! And when they begun to turn against him, he then proceeded to beat up every single one of his own clones, and made this huuuuuge gun which he calls the Carbon Duster, cuz it explodes Carbon-Based lifeforms into dust! And HE KICKS SO MUCH BUTT! Eheh...sorry. I mean I know we Pleiadians are beings of peace, but we can fangirl over stuff too! I WILL say that after he beat them, it was MY turn to go up against him. Give him a better cause to fight for, so long as I'm strong enough to be his new commander. I STILL don't know how I pulled that off, but somehow I did. And well...he pretty much took the "Defeat Means Friendship" route and ditched his home planet to travel with us. Sounds legit enough. If anyone is strong enough to stay in one piece post-crash, it's this guy.
---------------------------------
15) Xiv (Dendrogenia) (The Botanist)
- Named because he has fourteen legs, and it's pronounced "Shiv" by the way. So to speak, this guy's a bit of a potted plant. He has no physical ability to speak, but doesn't really need it, since he spends most of his time tending to the collection of alien flora we've collected for cultivation. He DOES communicate by spreading various aromatic hormones, which means that whenever we hit upon a particularly rare and prized specimen, he pretty much goes nuts, and makes the whole place smell like fresh honey. And although it may not look it, his work IS important! His work as a botanist focuses on cultivating things off of their home planet, which can really help open up trade opportunities! Not to mention, growing certain plants for medicinal and nutritional properties is important too. I wonder if he's found anything on Cauldron...
---------------------------------
16) Georgia Slider-Pan (Wherangian Trader) (The Assistant Engineer)
- Before anyone asks, under her robotic suit, she looks like an adorable green spore-like being, with uh...tendrils...suction cups...SOME kind of stringy appendages all over her fuzzy, spherical body. And I will unabashedly admit she's the most adorable thing ever! Not only because she's small and fuzzy, but because she always wants to help out! Something she's rather good at, since her robo-suit has got all kinds of gadgets in them. She even modified U-2764 back when he had no personality, to be more responsive to worker input, and now look at him! She DOES like money tho, and often wants to work expensive projects. So she can buy parts for her own personal hobby projects. I can respect that! Although on her own time, the gizmos she make are uhhh, more art than science.
---------------------------------
17) Node-O-Matic (Cyberbrain Toy-Bot) (The First Research Assistant)
- You know what's one thing that Dr. Oliver enjoys? Toy-Bots. They're manufactured by the Cyberbrains, mainly for children, but they've been such a passion to him since childhood that Oliver has paid Georgia a rather handsome amount of money to make them intelligent enough to work in his office. His old collection is lost to time, as far as we know. So Node-O-Matic was the first one he got his hands on in a long time, as a Plasmatron Shooting Range prize. Dr. Oliver is a phenomenally good shot, thanks to his Third Eye, and bagged this Toy-Bot the first chance he got. And knowing Georgia, I can say for sure he got his money's worth. One moment, Node-O-Matic could be robotically sorting folders with precision, and the next, he could be cuddling in the doctor's lap, balled up like a cat. But after Node-O-Matic is...
---------------------------------
18) Boxtron (Cyberbrain Toy-Bot) (The Second Research Assistant)
- Another Toy-Bot that Dr. Oliver got, after he noticed his Node-O-Matic starting to get lonely. And get this...it was a gambling prize. No one there knew at the time that Dr. Oliver had analysis abilities, so he snuck in, and won a bunch of money, and the opportunity to win a prize. Anyone else would've won a free personal spacecraft! One that would've cost thousands of credits to buy! But Dr. Oliver...just wanted a toy robot, so he got that instead. Not really TOO much to say about this one, other than they're like a pair of family pets to him. And heck, he shares Boxtron with Adlere, to keep her mind at ease when things get really tough for her! I KNOW he had plans to get more Toy-Bots. Start up a collection of little helpers sometime! That just gets me wondering, did Node-O-Matic and Boxtron survive the crash on Cauldron? I mean...poor Dr. Oliver's gonna be heartbroken if they're in pieces...
---------------------------------
19) Brighteye 2.0 (Ztillion Raider (Emancipated)) (The Weapons Officer)
- Freeing the Ztillion Raiders from their remote-controlled slavery was probably one of our greatest ever gigs as a space exploration crew. Okay, to give you a background on what happened that time, it was when we were trying to stop the spread of the Draco Regime to innocent planets that had not yet been touched by it. We were just one crew, hardly even something they registered. But they had already gotten a hold of the Ztillion race, and built machines to enslave their bodies. Kept their minds fresh and free so they could feed off their negative emotions, but their bodies totally under command. Ergo himself was especially disgusted at what the Regime was doing to them...and even more repulsive was the Ztillion Raiders, a subspecies made for military purposes that fought for the rest of their kind! Now slavers, who were to find and enslave anyone still free of Draco clutches! We had all acted together, and to make a long story short...we stopped them. Brighteye was the first to be freed, and had worked with us to shut down this planet-wide slavery. He'd been in their clutches for so long that everything is just new to him, so he often gets confused. But well...he has this boundless curiosity about him, and really seems to enjoy catching up on things. As well as getting to travel and fight alongside his rescuers. ESPECIALLY Caastrix, those two are practically brothers in arms! And I hope even now, on Cauldron, he remains freed from bondage...
---------------------------------
20) Shpeel Max (Limmaxi) (The Researcher)
- So just to distinguish him from Dr. Oliver and his two bots, Shpeel is actually the faster worker of the group, often diving right into a new subject, and keeps records for the good doctor. He is accomplished in a great many scientific and social studies disciplines, and can quickly dole out important info vital to the success of a mission. This makes him VERY qualified for handling the explorations of planets, and the cultures existing on them. And if we know him for any one thing, its about how much he loves to gush about it! Like, his natural voice doesn't articulate well, so it just sounds like he's explaining a bunch of stuff in monotone. But his expressions, gestures, and effort he puts into everything make it all the more clear that he joined this job, because it's his passion. He had once told me that once he retires, and takes up a better voice box, he'll perhaps go into a teaching career. ESPECIALLY for other youngsters thinking about joining the ranks of space exploration.
---------------------------------
21) Ambyr Stoma (Olmhan) (The Head Chef)
- She describes herself as ummm, "spicy". The kind of girl who's got a sassy and fiery attitude, and loves to stir things up. Be it telling someone off for being a jerk with some truly legendary roasts, or flirting with someone who would like to try her wares. A lot of this attitude stemmed both from a rather oppressive home life, where during war time she'd been sequestered in a little chamber, moving little, eating little, and drinking little. Conserving as many resources as possible at the expense of a happy childhood. And from the life she led after the war, where she'd been gallivanting across her local star cluster with a bunch of Wollabac lady-friends. If I remember, the one she admired most used food innuendos with great frequency, which led to a great love of cooking on her part. Heck, she even learned "new" methods of preparing food for all of us, to keep up in an age rife with molecular replicators and protein tubes! Not to mention, she's got tech-training and weapons training of her own as well. I mean...with a gal this well qualified for the job, who could say no, amirite? Heck, her escape pod went off relatively unscathed, so I'm sure she's doing great wherever she is now!
---------------------------------
22) Jaessiel (Pleiadian) (The Navigator Communications Officer Emergency Care Unit Toilet Cleaner)
Pardon my Drowish, but this DICK...So just to make things clear, Navigation SHOULD have been his responsibility. Instead well...he's a dick. A dick who PROBABLY wasn't raised by other Pleiadians, because he has a superiority complex towards other beings that makes him feel qualified to order them around. And an inferiority complex towards other Pleiadians, that prompts him to flaunt himself, and prove how cool he is. Especially at Astro-Sports, which is where he got much of his piloting prowess from. Which is why he wants to replace me as Captain. First by trying to show me up and prove he's better than me, and getting demoted several times for doing stupid stuff. THEN by trying to seduce me into giving him power. I once indulged him too! Tried to see if we can't form SOME kind of connection. But after that SHIT he pulled when we tried mind-melding up, I readily left him blue-balled, and I've still half a mind to give this guy the pink slip.
---------------------------------
23) AnOnA (Arcturian) (The Communications Officer)
- She's actually the cute daughter of one of our higher-ups. It'd SEEM like nepotism at first, which is kinda out of our hands since the Arcturians often get the last word in things anyway. They're SUPER important even as far as intergalactic relations go. But she was also sent to us not only to get real working experience after a sheltered life, but also to impart on us her own grand reservoir of knowledge. And to bring the Council of Light's goodwill to the rest of the galaxy. She's considered a child among the Arcturians, but to us, she's wise beyond her years. And when the chips are down, she's the one giving ME sage advice! This is why she's the communications officer, and doubles as a fellow ambassador alongside myself. She helps keep people together, and make good relations with even those she recently met. Not to mention, she ALSO has a fair bit of telepathic ability, like myself. Although...*gulp* I just hope the Arcturian councilmen will forgive me for failing him, and losing his daughter. Because I'm certainly not going to forgive MYSELf for that anytime soon!
---------------------------------
24) Rathas Salless (Alpha-Reticulan Reptoid) (The Third Mate)
- He used to be so violent and angry, but he's come such a long way from that dark time in his life...his whole life became a living hell because of the Draco Regime had enslaved his planet. They killed many people, tortured many, enslaved many...most of the Alpha-Reticulan Reptoids had their negative energy absorption neutered, so they would not be as strong as the Dracos, and so they would remain dependent on eating meat. Meat made from sapient beings...the few Reptoids who fought back were those who had negative energy absorption, and were quite literally empowered by the misery of their race. And Rathas was the one who survived to the very end, his mind so saturated with negative emotions he went full-tilt berserk, and slaughtered every last one. The one to help him out of this stage was...Ergo. Ergo almost died right in front of me, but kept absorbing away his negative energy, and comforting him...and it worked. The story gets so complicated from that point on, but to make it short...he keeps track of spaceflight guidance and FTL operations. He's strong, but he doesn't want to fight again. Even now, he keeps a dutiful smile on, but he seems so...sad...
---------------------------------
25) Ylco Salless (Grey-Reptoid Hybrid) (The Radar Operator)
- Ylco isn't technically Rathas' younger brother. But he treats him like one. And Ylco is always so angry...Mostly because as a clone hybrid of TWO inferior races in Draco Regime eyes, he pretty much spent his childhood strapped to a table, and getting cut open for "parts" and research purposes. And occasionally being put in a cage with a bunch of other similarly unfortunate clone-children, practically gnawing at each other for the most basic necessities, like warmth, or food. We rescued Ylco, and as of now, the only person he can stand to be around is Rathas. Perhaps because he's reminded of a similar looking inmate who treated him with kindness. But everyone else? He just looks at the radar all day, and doesn't like to interact with ANYONE. I've tried syncing with him, only for him to force a bunch of bad memories into my mind to get me to leave him alone. And when Ergo tried absorbing away his negative energy, Ylco punched him in the stomach and beat him up until he left. Ylco is just so full of anger...I just wish I could have had more time to help him before our crash tore us apart...
---------------------------------
26) ???? (Mantid) (No Seriously, Who IS This Chick?!)
- ...um...I've seen this fellow up and about in a few places. Quite soft spoken, she insists that people go about their business and pretend she's not there. Works with a council of similar looking Mantids. Her head, or sometimes her body, glows bright gold in the dark. I've heard some witnesses say that she tells people to observe her genitalia, which glows and causes warm feelings to wash over a person for some reason...but weirdest of all? I've heard some friends tell me that she does this thing where she'll now and then manifest in the corner of someone's bedroom, just stand there, and watch them have sex. ESPECIALLY if it's an interracial couple. She'll even whip out that genitalia, which makes the couple want to keep going even AFTER she's been seen! And then just...disappear afterwards. No explanation either! I mean, I'm pretty young by Pleiadian standards, so feel like I'm missing out on an explanation. I've HEARD she's a...a Diplomat of some sorts? I don't know! She just appears on the ship at times, and the higher-ups allow it! And even confirmed her as a member of ours without my input! If anything, she may very well come to us at any point...keep your eyes peeled.

Well, that last one completely derails that one suggestion I made. But that's my own fault for not reading all the entries beforehand. So let's see, how about someone totally different then?
Disciplinary Officer Solin, or as the crew refer to him, DOS. He's huge and no one knows what sort of alien he is. But it's clear to see that he is VERY serious about his job. If a crime were to be committed on-board, he'd be the one to detain the culprit, find out who the culprit is is it isn't clear, and make sure they don't escape. He goes to great lengths to ensure the criminal doesn't get away. And if they do, he has been given the go-ahead to use deadly force if he deems it necessary. The one thing that most of the crew has ever heard him saw is "Is there a problem, Captain?" He jumps at any chance to actually do his job. For this reason, some of the crew believe he is simply angry because he's so bored. When something happens between two or more crew members, he is there faster than you'd imagine he physically could be! His arms are almost always crossed and his hands are bigger than you'd expect even given his size. DOS is the sort of guy who would shake off a crash like it was nothing, even if he was partly on fire as a result. In terms of appearance, he looks like an ape that is masquerading as a panther, but with the fur of a giraffe. Again, no one knows WHAT he is. But whenever the subject of that weirdo Mantid comes up, he seems to disregard the claims. Either that or he still hasn't caught her yet. Not sure since he never says anything in most cases. Though some of the more mentally-gifted crew members say that they sensed a very faint glimpse of some words when attempting to see into his head. Words like "Protect", "Abnormality", or "Cryptid". His name is officially registered, but what is his deal? He acts like there are very specific things he is allowed to do and not much else.
How is that?

Ahh, well ???? probably doesn't COMPLETELY derail the possibility of an actual Diplomat. I mean you gotta consider, the Mantid's only a member on a technicality, basically being shoehorned in because the higher-ups said so. And while she's PURPORTED to be a Diplomat, she...doesn't really do much Diplomatic stuff.
Just a bunch of weird crud that makes no sense! XD Either way, the crew could use someone who would actually ATTEMPT to live up to their job description!
Still...you know, when I hear about Disciplinary Officer Solin, I'm kinda reminded of claims that Bigfoot is an alien! As well as similar reports of Hairy Dwarf aliens.
Also...Ape masquerading as panther? Wait, you mean like an ape on all fours like a panther? Orrr something else.

For the sake of making it clearer, think of the "ape" part as meaning "built like an ape" and not think about apes past that. I'll just tell you what I was thinking for DOS.
SCP, "Secure, Contain, Protect". The Mantid is an escaped cryptid and this guy is another one they sent out to retrieve it. Maybe the Mantid can walk through walls and DOS could teleport? Perhaps the Mantid's genitals have a hypnotic or at least heavy suggestion power. But DOS is immune to it. DOS could actually be the acronym for his SCP designation. (I don't know much about this stuff, but from what I do know, there are some pretty interesting monsters involved.) Aliens that are alien even to aliens make for something supernatural even in the realm of fantasy.

I read up to number 22 now. These are some very diverse characters! I think Xiv would most likely find the Florina and they'd understand him. It might be a sort of plant-life Morse Code. And the Florina have an innate knowledge of it. But what would he communicate to them? And how might their bodies and culture affect him? XD

Hehehe. "I dont feel so good, Liliel!"
Naaaah, 'twas just another member who looked exactly like a human being, so I trashed it!
That was about the point I ran out of artistic inspiration too, and just REALLY wanted to finish this.

Jasseiel sounds like a major dick, but he's still pretty attractive.
Also, I find it interrsting your one line about the ToyBot balling up in his lap like a cat, because he has a connection to cats outside of the FantasTech universe.

Well, you're not wrong, I can say that much! XD
I kinda tried taking design inspiration from Space Dandy's Prince. Which probably explains a few things about his demeanor! Perhaps on Cauldron SOMEONE will appreciate his coolness!
Also, huh...didn't know that about him. Now I feel psychic. XD

I'm pretty some people would find him cool on Cauldron.
Though, the cat he's related to in that universe can't exactly curl up in his lap.
Oh yeah, I might have four more characters (that I want to introduce in HSIS) that you could use here if you want to. I don't have positions they could for into, though.

I read the first 9 so far(trying to pace myself since there is a lot to read here). Interesting info on interesting characters! I'd just like to point out something for future reference. "Cybernetics" is a different field entirely from robotics. So they aren't the same thing. I'd advise you to look up the exact meaning and/or difference between the two in order to keep everything accurate. I don't think you've made any mistake thus far regarding that, but yeah, it is a different field.
Regarding Hopyap, just tell me when they plan to retrieve him, because, as I said before, I have a plan for Marina and Gary that involves Marina being the one to get him from the Toy Kingdom. I still want it to be a surprise but I'll say this much: Hopyap will have something that will help Gary solve some power problems as well as help me solve some idea problems.

I seriously thought I was going to buckle from the weight under how darn BIG this submission was... @_@

Dude, you really should avoid submissions this big in the future, or at the very least, split it into manageable chunks, like a single row of characters, not because of how long I've been waiting to continue the RPs or anything, but it genuinely seems to have caused you some serious stress, I don't want to see you go through that again

Yeah, I think I'll go with that...
I think what I was going for was to get one very big thing out of the way first. To prioritize that above random whims, and to actually try FINISHING it! Setting up something important for the story!
But goshdarnit...I bit off so much more than I could chew with this one.
I'll see what to do next to unwind from this submission. And well...thank you for your concern, dude.

No prob dude, I'm always here if you need me
Well, we could always try to pick the RPs up again if you want, or you could read my latest story and tell me what you think of my portrayal of your characters, just a couple of suggestions though, you do whatever you wanna do
