Description
WELP. Before bed now. Soooo, I got in a lot of fantasy stuff. But what about the Tech Part? Well, here it is! Kinda!Otherworldly technology that most of Cauldron knows NOTHING about. In a sense, Clarke's Third Law is in play here. Its effects might appear to be magical, but it's not at all. These items are not the product of borrowed power from Ziz, but rather from ingenuity that many of Cauldron's people can scarcely comprehend.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg, as more is being discovered with the passing of time. So far...here's the Tech belonging to some of the Gizmo Guild's members.
-----------------------
The Omniwrench
Belongs to Dr. Maerna
- One of the first pieces of technology found, it can transform its prongs into nearly any tool end to fix almost any appliance, after an initial scan. The tool is full of a golden liquid full of multicolored bubbles, suggesting nanotech at play.
The Office Accounting Pad
Belongs to Delilah (who belongs to )
- A simple hologram projector, albeit with an ability to project multiple at once. However, the odd shape of it seems to denote former ownership by something that had about seven fingers.
The Plasma Pulser
Belongs to Laura Freysia (who belongs to )
- A plasma projectile weapon that she had found in the wreckage of a robotic drone, after destroying it when it attempted to abduct her. It seems to have no need for reloading ammo. Only cooling down.
The Kinetic Energy Dissipator
Belongs to Tiffany Redwood (who belongs to )
- A sort of tool that Tiffany placed on her belt, which allows her to temporarily create a spherical shield of force that dissipates away kinetic energy, rendering otherwise deadly impacts harmless.
The AnalySpecs
Belongs to Qarashelshira
- A piece of eye-wear that allows someone to see something currently wrong with something, so the wearer may attempt to fix it. Its build suggests that whatever owned this before ALSO had one giant eye.
The Codex of the Stars
Belongs to Kazwellor Roswaal (who belongs to )
- A computronium interface that is shaped in such a way to resemble a book, and displays "pages" in the form of flat holograms. However, as of currently, the content is written in an indecipherable language.
The Wayfarer's Compass
Belongs to Toma (who belongs to )
- A sort of sphere containing a highly dense, highly magnetized piece of...something. It's kept suspended with the crescent-shaped device, and can help guide the holder through unknown lands.
The Chromatic Cutlass
Belongs to Rosa Orchid (who belongs to )
- An extremely powerful blade that gathers photons within its plasmatic sheathe, forming it into an extendible, multi-colored blade that can even slice things from afar. Albeit it seems to need frequent recharging.
The Zodiac Suit
Belongs to Lils Lutino (who belongs to )
- A combat suit that, when activated, provides an incredible boost of strength, speed, and durability, as well as resistance to the elements. It comes complete with a pair of mechanical wings that fly faster than most airships.
The Elemental Containment Module
Belongs to Frozi Flazier (who belongs to )
- A sort of spherical module that always remains attached to the patient in question, keeping the elemental spirits within them repressed. The work on this seems...rushed. As though it wasn't done too well, because of an unfamiliarity on Elemental forces.
The Holo-Picture Projector
Belongs to Chaos (who belongs to )
- A small, mechanical projector that can allow one to create vivid holographic displays, which utilize electron manipulation to simulate other sensory input, and pull attention away from the surrounding environment.
The Scouting Scope
Belongs to Melly Magistar (who belongs to )
- A binoculars-like device that communicates with the user's brainwaves, to retrieve information from a nearby source on what the user wants to know. However, it appears it was meant to be used by something with more than two eyes.
The Cool Cam-Bot
Belongs to Flurry (who belongs to )
- A hovering camera robot, who can do surveillance, as well as record videos, edit them, and distribute them to electronic sources. However, it's been Glyphed by Flurry to be able to project videos to Divination Magic platforms as well.
The Charger Pack
Belongs to Pyla Pandion (who belongs to )
- A sort of cylindrical device that allows her to provide someone else's Tech a boost of energy, to rejuvenate it if close to deactivation, or to strengthen its capabilities. However, it is FULL of potentially hazardous energies, so no messing around with it!
The Smart Blaster
Belongs to Helga die Jagerin (who belongs to )
- A super-weapon that allows one to launch energy bubbles that home in on a target the user wishes. While keeping everything else unharmed. However, up until now, only Helga can provide coolant to allow it to function without breaking down as often as it had before.

PHEW....
...have I left anything out? XD

Hey dude, dunno if you're interested, but I did come up with three pieces of technology that Hex would use, want me to tell ya about them?

Actually I am indeed!
What with tech being a major driving force behind the plot, perhaps the Tech in question can connect to something much greater.
Whatcha got??

1. The Infantry Support Chakram
Based off an unknown design, Hex adapted the Chakram to not draw attention to its otherworldly origins, the weapon has two distinct modes, the first one, a staff/polearm weapon covered in an electrical current capable of stunning enemies in a few blows, the second form, a Rifle that fires bolts of plasma capable of either stunning or killing who it hits, depending what setting it's on, due to its shape and advanced homing technology, this form can also be thrown akin to a Chakram, hitting several people before returning, other abilities of the Rifle form include a laser cutter beam with varying degrees of intensity, from engraving designs, to cutting chains to even mining through rock, and a scanning function that analyses the area or a particular object
2. The Infantry Support Module
A chunky device built into Hex's right gauntlet, the Module performs a variety of functions that aid his quest for knowledge greatly, not only does it display the data translated from the scanning function of the Chakram, it also detects lifeforms within a certain radius, sends and receives communications, and operates a camouflage matrix that renders Hex invisible for short periods of time
3. Limb Augmenters
Hex's own variation of the Era 2 Peridot Limb Enhancers, the Augmenters improve upon the original design, including jet boosters built into the feet, the scanning tool of the Support Chakram built into the left arm, and an Infantry Support Module built into the right, with all the functions and abilities at her literal fingertips
Do lemme know what you think, dude!

Sorry to ask again, but did you ever get the list I sent you?

Hm, interesting. There's actually a bit of a problem. She doesn't know how a gun works. XD

Well of course! XD
First Sea Serpent she killed with it was due to luck in pulling the right trigger. And her ability to cool off the gun long enough to fire.
And apparently...the size of the gun suggests it's supposed to be attached to a ship! I mean if it's big enough for Helga! XD

Plasma Pulser
It seems to have no need for reloading ammo. Only cooling down.
Plasma weaponry would need to reload a number of things:
Batteries / Fuel Cells
Gas magazines / Ferric Metal Magazines
Graviton Particle Impingment magazines / Electromagnetic Batteries
Heatsinks
all at once. heatsinks can be skipped with good enough materials or a very venty desing and keeping on the move.
the above reasons are why plasma weapons are nowhere to be seen in cloudkill, with "futuretech" guns being only:
Electromagnetic accelerators (Ferric Tungsten Slugs + Batteries)
L.O.S.E.R. Method Pulse Laser Weapons (Batteries)
Particle Guns (Biofuel Cells)
U.S.O.P. Method Sonic Weapons (Unupentium Microfission Cells)
note none of them have more than 2 reload types to worry about
(And realistically, you wont have to worry about reloading the "battery" part of an Electromagnetic Accelerator on the field.)

You know you do bring up a very good point right there.
I think in general, a plasma based weapon would be very inefficient, in a fantasy land where there's no such place to get fuel of any kind for that type of firepower!
Then again, it could be that the so-called "Plasma Pulser" is not a plasma weapon at all. It could be one of the other FutureTech guns mentioned, and no one would yet be any the wiser!
A major point of FantasTech is that technology is rather poorly understood by Cauldron's people. So it'd be quite understandable if they made mistake in classifying it.
