Weeeell, these were fun! Just came up with Thagomizer today, but figured he'd be a neat-o addition to the tiny roster of male heroes so far. ^^---------------------
Just to summarize, Thagomizer is actually Chinese. He was born in China, as the country was going through a time period when various super-powered vigilantes and crime-fighters sprung up to fight uncontrolled criminal activity. And well...it was thought by the country's authority that "American-Style" superheroes would have a bad influence on the public at large. Influencing them to go against the system set up by the government, to take things into their own hands.
Which caused the Chinese government to ban superheroes and Plasmid possession. To the point where any would-be heroes were arrested, and asked to either work for them, get cured, or get out. It was a really hard time. And definitely not the only foreign country in the world to enlist such harsh laws against Supers. Russia had a similar thing going on during its Soviet Years.

SO, when a young Chinese paleontologist, named Zhan Tao unearthed a Wuerhosaurus fossil that turned him half-Wuerhosaurus, he knew he'd be confiscated. But before doing so...
He performed his first act of heroism: Using his new form to stop a horde of creatures that looked just like a zombified dinosaurs. Saving a local village from their jaws! And finding a trace of the person who might have created these zombies to begin with...
In any other circumstance, he would have asked to be changed back. But he's already gone too far in, and unearthed a new kind of terrible trouble! He wanted to sign up for hero-work, and track down this mystery villain summoning zombie-saurs!
Nope. Banned from the country. And so he ended up in the United States.

He's still on the case. Gaining leads, training to use his saurian physique to maximum efficiency. Occasionally even using his sheer bulk to carry massive weapons mounted on him with ease. And retaining an academic mind, despite having a brain the size of a walnut. SOMEHOW.
He even managed to find a new colleague and sidekick in Lawson Northrop, who had also gained the same powers by touching an irradiated Quetzalcoatlus fossil! Northrop was the one who recommended Zhan the superhero program he was in, while balancing hero-work and paleontology.

In 2003, China has officially lifted the ban on superheroes not too long after the Month of Monsters. The same disaster that devastated America spread to China, prompting them to welcome heroes and Plasmid possessors back into their population. To some extent.
Albeit...Zhan's not gonna return JUST yet. With how many friends he's made here, and how many opportunities he's earned himself, no reason to stop now! He's an Alpha-Grade hero, and he'll be that way for a while, it seems.

Question out of curiocity: how tall is he?
Like an Azdar-kid? So...around 5 metres tall?!

My thoughts? After seeing his skull-like helmet AND cyber-like thagomizer of his own,
he could have used some sorts of biotechnological computer enchancing embbed in his brain.
Somethign that was created by Zhan Tao even before he turned into a half-Wuerhosaurus!
Additionally, there could be some sort of supporting batteries or energy engine/generator could be put around his pelvis,
because we know Stegosauria had a lot of space for fat there, which created the myth of "two brains" in the first place....
...just adding my two cents again not asked to heh -w-'

YAY!! 
Of COURSE it's a Wuerhosaurus! ^^ Funny thing is I ALMOST made him a Stegosaurus at first, but figured flatter square plates were easier to work with, and well...Wuerhosaurus being a Chinese dinosaur gave me the idea to give a sneak peek at NON-American Supers. AND would introduce audiences to a more obscure dino!
And...haven't thought about size, but I'd say close to their original sizes. Which means Azdar-Kid would be taller than Thagomizer, but much lighter in comparison. Thagomizer's built like a damn tank!
Not to mention...that skull computer, and pelvic battery holster is actually genius! I'll be sure to implement that!

You know, I think China should not have banned superheroes. If super villains attacked their city, then what would they do to defend themselves? I mean, they do have the army, but then soldiers might be killed more! I think that they should un-ban superheroes!

They did already.
The main point is that China really DOES have a history of arbitrarily banning things that are seen by the authorities as morally corrupting, or harmful to the Chinese government's image and ideals.
Under the less-than-sound belief that they have the military strength to ward them off on their own.
Banning superheroes is likely something that would actually happen. But would be quickly undone, because ANY country in this world declaring superheroes off-limits instantly becomes a target.

To me that decision was one of the best you made
to indeed introduce an unknown Stegosaurus cousin ^^b
Hope you have heard about Stegosaurids great moblity of their tails
as well as one find that reveals their thagomisers sheer power
enough to drill a hole through a bone!
One Allosaurus was found with one of its vertebra being healed a bit
after getting pierced with one of Stegosaurus spikes. I mean...THAT IS SOMETHING
FOR A HERBIVORE THAT JUST SWUNG ITS TAIL WITH SPIKES SMALLER THAN FAMOUS
TRICERATOPS HORNS.

Such as...Shantungosaurus. Tsintaosaurus. Yangchuanosaurus. Huayangosaurus. And more!
Cuz MAN, China is loaded with fossils!

Why hello there, we meet again, what a suprise?

TSINTAOSAURUS.
About that one; something even I haven't knew untill recently;
the "unicorn-saurus" is no longer...because paleontologists revised on its fossil
and relationship. which now changed its crest shape from being a stick gluted to the forehead;
still, you can create something unicorn-themed in such character, even if the apperance might not call it
and....we also got to know lately that hadrosaurs LOVES SEAFOOD, ESPECIALLY FEMALES.
All for absorbing more calcium for creation of egg shells
LOTS OF BEAUTIFULLY PRESERVED FOSSILS, YES
Because they lived nearbly erupting volcanos, that might give some of them fireproof and soundproof
or even earthquake-proof/shield(??) resistances
We also need a jerky one, like Caihong, who's so proud with dazzling its enemies with the rainbow shine
and prismatic laser beams, that he makes one just whine and this face :iconexhaliburplz: whenever she shows up XD
...and still, she's smol; talk about extending the myth of David and Goliath...aaand she even got a bad habit of asking
for a reward after saving other lifes, just to collect as many shiny things as possible!
Aand the fact she was a MALE, which explains such coloration. Mutation and going into superhero actually resultes in changing the gender...
...but still, many ove her a life and getting to see a beautifully feathered little superhero that leaves many with jaw dropped onto the floor.

I actually did know that Tsintaosaurus got an official crest change, because of new evidence contrary to its "dinosaur unicorn" status.
BUT...I did have an idea in mind. Like say...
An Anime Magical Girl Tsintaosaurus. A regular, yet sapient Tsintaosaurus who's been blessed with magic power. Has has a flower transformation sequence, and gains the unicorn horn that functions as a magic wand. And for some reason, she's an anime geek, and LOVES to eat sushi. X'DD

Meanwhile, I remember Caihong! Somehow I can also see a male Caihong being a martial artist who has the ability...to use his dazzling feathers to attract attention towards him at all times. ALL eyes go towards him! And he uses ingenuity to take down opponents bigger than him. And of course, acting like a showoff.
Although occasionally with a noble side that shines through, as he's willing to attract truly dangerous attention to save someone else's life.

(or even some off sounwaves that can be only seen as a thin film of transparent
fan that shines with rainbow colors. LET'S TASTE THE RAINBOOWW~)
Meanwhile, he got a partner; another one wiht lustroud shine that at first set a rivarly
between the two, but then managed to get a good pal in Caihong.
It's another small superpower maniraptorian, coming from a Microraptor gui fossil
The one that's like a ninja....but doesn't preen with it, because it wants to remain cool headed
and modest, believing this is the right personality to go beat the chaos.

Lessee, what else can we do....? Let's say some bad guys!
- A Liopleurodon whose quirk is the ability to grow to giant sizes. Far more than his natural size!
- A Sauroposeidon who has gained godlike power, with the ability to create thunderstorms, control water, and cause earthquakes. And believes himself to be a god!
- A Peloneustes who has the ability to swim through solid ground. ESPECIALLY mud and soil.
- A vampiric Agnurognathus who has powers of darkness and blood magic. And is a high-level threat.
And more!
