Description (ALSO NOTE, I credit for the type icons! Sorry, I just kinda found them on Google and found out that someone on dA made them, so it's very handy, y'know.

Meanwhile, here's a Titanoboa fakemon, suggested by !)

Variaboa
The Adaptive Pokemon
Normal

Paleozoic Entry: Variaboa is enormous, measuring 45 feet long from tip to tail, making it large and heavy enough to prey on giant dinosaur Pokemon. Their hunting methods vary depending on where they live, and what food's available.

Mesozoic Entry: Variaboa, are drably colored, only becoming more colorful depending on what type they turn into upon activating their Protean ability. Their adaptive ability allows them to live just about anywhere.

Cenozoic Entry: Variaboa are cunning predators that specifically prey on Pokemon weak to their attacks and current type, making sure that they can't fight back. These Pokemon were a scourge to other predatory species.

This Pokemon had never truly gone extinct, but instead branched off into the many different kinds of Snake Pokemon that we know today. However, Variaboa themselves ceased to exist after the K-T Extinction Event.

i have some ancientmon ideas:

a pokemon based on a starfish, not the Staryu line which are starfish-based bioconstructs created by the Eldarine, but actual starfish, basically they have five red compound eyes on their five "arms", they move around with tube feet, to eat prey they turn their stomachs inside out to devour them, it's Water/Normal.

a pokemon based on recent reconstructions of the Atopodentatus, it has a hammerhead-shaped mouth, the old Atopodentatus with zipper jaws could be a rare variation on the pokemon world instead, it's Water/Dark.

great ancientmon, and it seems that the colored type markings existed on the Variaboa before humans used it for classifying types, or is that just a stylistic choice?.
