Description Yes...sadly this is the best I could do. This is the very first drawing I've been able to do in weeks, probably over a month, and it took me a good while to get my edge back! Like holy crap!

And what's more is that I did get inspired to make variations for Wailord, but I was actually at quite a loss at what the heck kind of breeding pairs to make for Wailord, because dude...Wailord's supposed to be an aquatic mammal. Yet this thing has the nerve to be able to breed with Fish Pokemon. FISH POKEMON. WHY??

Anyway...all things considering this was the best I could make of it. Hope to be able to do more stuff like this soon, albeit with a little more know-how behind my belt, now that Sun and Moon's out!

For those of you who might have forgotten...I am indeed on the bandwagon that is Pokemon variations, although I'm aiming more for biodiversity akin to that of real life! How the real world has not one species of whale, dog, or ceratopsid dinosaur, but many!
------------------

Blue Whale (Standard) - A very docile variation, it is the purebreed version of Wailord. They swim in pods, and feast on schools of small Pokemon, fish, and krill, using a sort of "bubble net" to round them up before swallowing the whole school. Despite this, they are friendly to humans, and are far too big for most species to even bother hunting.

Narwhal (Samurott) - Β A competitive and gregarious variation, which dwells in arctic regions, and can be frequently seen combating each other for territory, food, and the right to mate. These Pokemon take excellent care of themselves, and are highly prone to competition among themselves, or among teammates if they are trained.

Beluga (Dewgong) - A small and rather active variation, which dwells in arctic oceans and dwell in pods. Their numbers are very vast, despite being frequently hunted by other species, and rely on strength in numbers due to their smaller size. They turn yellow during the winter and have a range of unique calls.

Orca (Sharpedo) - An aggressive and passionate variation, which dwells in open seas worldwide. They hunt in pods, and are entirely carnivorous, being highly persistent hunters. So much so that they've even been known to beach themselves, and leap out of the water to make sure their prey doesn't escape.

Sperm Whale (Mamoswine) - A rather mysterious variation, it is often seen alone or in very small groups, in open seas worldwide. They are also carnivorous, but are seldom seen in the surface, since they spend time hunting very deep underwater, able to dive much deeper than even regular Wailord.

River Dolphin (Skitty) - An excitable and friendly variation, which are seen in tropical rivers and lakes. They are among the smallest variations of Wailord ever, but are exceptionally friendly to people, while also hunting for small fish. Their numbers have only recently come back, after declining due to habitat loss.

Beaked Whale (Serperior) - A rare and rather odd variation, resembling a giant dolphin. These species have been hunted long ago by explorers, but are rarer to find nowadays, so very little is known about them. They have occasionally been seen swimming in pods composed of other Wailord subspecies.

Kyogre already takes Pokemon's place for an Orca

A narwhal would be super interesting though. Imagine it being Water/fairy or Water/steelΒ

River Dolphin! From a famous Skitty x Wailord!
Spledid x3

I always enjoy your descriptions on those fun concepts~

I thought at first that Beaked whale is a Basilosaurus being a cross breed with Seviper and having such serpentine body...

I like these! My favorite would be the Narwhal because it looks funny, yet cool at the same time.

What about Whale Shark? Or is that under the Sharpedo variation other than the Wailord variant?

I'm pretty sure that'd be a Sharpedo with a Wailord daddy, yes. Whale sharks are fish, after all XD

I love how you added a Skitty variation to the Wailord variations.

Got to get that Wailord on Skitty action in there somewhere.
