Description

Donut Joe, original name unknown, was an agent in Equestria’s Secret Service. His origins can be traced to Marexico, though his biological family is harder to pinpoint.

During his childhood, the donkey moved from place to place as his family moved around a lot, said moving around caused a lot of money. Out of desperation, they sold him off to the E.S.S for a solid few of over half a million Elysians (Elysian is a word relating to or characteristic of heaven/paradise plus its seen as a synonym of Celestial. And I thought that might be a cool name for Dollars in Equestria).

His first days in the E.S.S were difficult, luckily he met two other agents around his age, Miss Cherilee and Bon Bon. Joe often used his charm to get out of trouble and access anything required of him during missions. His causes for defecting are the subject of speculation, the most common factor may be the taxing lifestyle of a Secret Agent became too much for him. Alongside Bon Bon and Cherilee, he left the E.S.S, he also helped Cherilee avenge her father and Bon Bon reconnect with her swarm. As for Donut Joe’s family, he avoids the subject as much as possible.

At present, Donut Joe runs a cafe in Canterlot, and occasionally angers Zesty Gourmand as a side hobby. He does also keep a lookout for any news on the E.S.S, and offers his cafe as a stop for Bon Bon’s espionage group, when they’re in the area.
