Description

Bon Bon Heartstrings, formerly Agent Chameleon of her Majesty’s Secret Service, is a Hymenoptera Changeling - a subspecies closely related to bees and wasps. Like all Hymenoptera, she possesses tufts of fur around her neck and hooves, she also possesses a stinger at the end of her tail that contains enough venom to knock out seven adult ponies.

As a young grub, she lost her swarm during a Summer migration when they passed through Prance. Bon Bon spent a few days lost in the countryside before she was found and given to the authorities. Said authorities were unsure on how to deal with her and so they turned her over to the Equestrian Secret Service ( E.S.S ). There she met two other agents, Donut Joe and Miss Cherilee, with whom she’d come to consider her family. After the infamous Bugbear incident, Bon Bon began to question the E.S.S and considered resigning, if necessary, perhaps defecting. What truly caused her to leave was the revelation of Project Hush-Hush, an experiment that harvested changeling magic and transformed it into invisibility charms.

Together with Cherilee and Joe, she defected from the service, enacted revenge on behalf of Cherokee’s father. They also travelled to Prance and helped Bon Bon reconnect with her swarm.

At present, Bon Bon lives in Ponyville alongside her wife Lyra Heartstrings, together they run a candy store and are also leaders of a covert espionage group. All the while, she reunites with Joe and Cherilee and occasionally messes with the E.S.S by using her changeling abilities.
