"A-Alexa, a-are you sure about this...?"

Keith practically clung to Alexa for dear life as the couple walked through the forest on such a beautiful spring morning - though it was hard to tell with the thick canopy shielding the forest from the sky.

"It's a forest in broad daylight; nothing's going to happen," Alexa replied with a sigh. "Not EVERY Pokémon's gonna pop out at EVERY human that passes through."

"B-But what if one DOES?" Keith asked fearfully, frantically looking around him. "Wh-What do we do then?"

"If a Pokémon wants a fight, I'll give them one with one of mine; you at least remember THAT much, right?"

"Wh-What if your Pokémon can't BEAT the wild one?!" Keith asked in a blind panic.

Alexa raised an eyebrow; she knew her boyfriend was paranoid beyond belief, but to the point where he'd make such a presumption about her...?

"You don't think my Charizard can defeat a Caterpie?"

"Y-Y-You never know! M-Maybe th-the Caterpie would String Shot Charizard too much and--"

"Keith, my Charizard is the softest thing alive, but I REALLY don't think String Shot would be an issue for him...he's a fully evolved Fire/Flying type and a Caterpie--"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!"

Keith suddenly stopped in his tracks and gripped Alexa tightly, causing her to involuntarily shiver along with him as they spotted a tiny and innocent Joltik descending upon them from a tree branch its thread of web was securely stuck to.

"Sp-Sp-Sp-Sp-SPIDER!!!"

As Joltik tilted its little head in confusion, Alexa sighed heavily as she fought against her desire to smack her lover for causing so much fuss over something as harmless as a solitary Pokémon.

"Arceus Christ, it's just a Joltik..."

Have a different kind of Pledgeshipping~!

An idea presented to me by LittleMissAiko ; Keith and Alexa with opposite personalities á la Edolas from Fairy Tail.

I hate that arc and it's when I started to dislike Fairy Tail as a whole, but drawing scaredy-cat Keith was a nice change of pace.

Fun fact: Joltik was originally Spinarak - in my traditional sketch, I drew Spinarak instead, but since I drew Rowlet asleep along with the nocturnal spider (owls sleep in the daytime and Spinarak are found at night for the most part), I changed Spinarak to Joltik.
