My TreeMy TreeΒ Β Β Β 2/6/09
Of all the things that I hold dear,
and all the places I could be.
Nothing brings me more joyful cheer
than sitting under my maple tree.
The brown colored leaves fall and cover me
as the summer sun bakes the grass dynamically.
I think back to my whirlwind past -
my memory a frozen crystal in time.
That moment vividly embedded
in my incomplete mind.
I see the way the sun reflects
all my childhood neglect.
I don't know how this wondrous tree
can survive the winter's hostility.
It gives me hope to outlast the bitter cold.
My bones are brittle, aching and very old.
All the people I loved far and near,
eventually left or disappeared.
Many seasons have come and gone.
Summers too short and winters too long.
I am left here, alone to die,
and no one's here to say goodbye.
So I lay beside this solid tree
that through the years was there for me.
The one constant from which I could rely -
the hardy canopy that kept me dry.
Numerous times I would take stock

Yes, Spring is here so the temperature is rising and the sun is staying out longer.

Everything is fine, I will try to paint more frequently this spring. I have heard that winter is harder in southern Canada than here in the Stockholm area, Sweden. i looked it up on wikipedia and the winter is colder in Montreal . But the winter is much much darker here.

We had a rather harsh winter this year temperatures reaching negative 35 degrees Celsius at it's worst, and colder even with the windshield factor.
Are you an avid skier, there are amazing hills in Sweden?

Yes, there is a mountain range in northwestern Sweden, but where I live it is flat. But I like to do cross country skiing. I hope you have not seen this vikings TV series, because Sweden has never ever looked like it does in this TV series.
