The sepia tone in the back is very helpful for focusing on the characters.

This is great!
Dawn of the Dead-ish! Your colours are spot on, that blood not only looks real but it looks dry, rotting and infested, very nice. The skin renders also looks fine but I would go for a less saturated colour, give it that pale, dead flesh look.
Be great to see how this turns out in the end. I trust you plan to colour the guys behind.
