Thought I'd give the manly men (and my husband) a break and try drawing kids. It's not that I haven't drawn them before, but I've always had a direct reference to copy from. This time, I attempted to interpret Toon Link in my semi-realistic style and I used multiple references to help me construct the face. I'm so used to drawing adults and children have different proportions, so even if I am exaggerating some features I have to be careful... so many moments when the voice in my head was saying "so... you know what you're doing?" and I was like "lol no... shuddup, brain!"This "Toon Link" is non specific and reps all the Toon Links since they all kinda look the same. His shield though is from Wind Waker, which I thought appropriate at this moment considering Ninty is re-releasing that game for Wii U.
I tried to create an ethereal kind of atmosphere - random fairy to suggest maybe Link's just dropped by a fairy spring in some cave

You don't know how much the schoolgirl inside me is squealing with joy right now, after you said that. It's like those three girls in TP near the S.T.A.R. Game, who squeal and run away after leaving hearts behind when you talk to them because they became your fangirls after you beat the S.T.A.R. Game.

hehe yep can't draw Vega ALL the time as much as I want to XD You know it's interesting how before he came along into my life, I couldn't draw men at all and now it's easier to draw them than anything else - brain just have to keep adjusting I guess, which is why I switch characters from time to time

For some reason it looks like Majora's Mask Link to me. Maybe it's just because Majora's Mask has been on my mind lately, but the atmosphere is very Majora-esque.
