Thought I'd give the manly men (and my husband) a break and try drawing kids. It's not that I haven't drawn them before, but I've always had a direct reference to copy from. This time, I attempted to interpret Toon Link in my semi-realistic style and I used multiple references to help me construct the face. I'm so used to drawing adults and children have different proportions, so even if I am exaggerating some features I have to be careful... so many moments when the voice in my head was saying "so... you know what you're doing?" and I was like "lol no... shuddup, brain!"

This "Toon Link" is non specific and reps all the Toon Links since they all kinda look the same. His shield though is from Wind Waker, which I thought appropriate at this moment considering Ninty is re-releasing that game for Wii U.

I tried to create an ethereal kind of atmosphere - random fairy to suggest maybe Link's just dropped by a fairy spring in some cave
