Description Taken at Blue Hen Falls - Cuyahoga Valley National Park

Last week while taking a morning walk on the Towpath at Boston Mills Rd, I decided I should face a small fear I had of the area and return to Blue Hen Falls. I hadn't been there in over a year since I'd been in an accident after visiting this very spot. The morning couldn't have been more perfect--it was a beautifully pleasant morning nice and cool with the sunlight filtering through the trees. I can say I'm safely over my emotional aversion to the place and will spend many further wonderful days there exploring not only the changes in the waterfalls but up and down the stream as well.

The shape of the shallow valley that the watefall flows into is curved, cupping the small pool beneath and then letting the water continue and meander its way through the forest. In the summer, the water flow isn't as great but it's been a fairly wet and rainy summer so I was able to get a lot more water to photograph. This is one of those places that I believe I'll visit either seasonally or monthly to show the changes in the area and how different it can look.

This shot was taken with my tripod and my ND8 filter, utilizing a low ISO and high aperture in order to get this silky look to the water.

LOL no--I'd visited this place and then when I was trying to cross the road in my car I hit someone. The Civic got totalled and everything! I still have issues crossing an intersection in my car, it's sort of annoying but I make do!

Oh yes I remember that!!!! How awful of me to think that a slip n fall would slow you down. Though I was kinda refering to the fact that you may be extra cautious withe your new camera.... I know I am more hesitant with my new one than I was with the ole d60....
