While most of you know Ame's arm scars very well, she doesn't seem AS keen on showing em in this iteration! Maybe her revealing em is a part of her character growth?? Huhuuu, maybe.Are the first three panels a little too odd? I'm trying a few things to make things pop, but I don't want to go overboard and have it be too distracting!

Love the use of a panel within Β a panel with Ame's big reveal, very cleaver way to help viewers focus in on what you were trying to show.
As for the top 3 panels, I think they're perfect as well. Β The way they're placed gives the indication they're all staring directly at Ame in correlation to the big reveal panel. Β Like before its simple, but very effective~

I think the layout is fine for the most part. The only gripe I have is that the eyes may be mislead a bit. Some may read the panel on the left and then have to direct their eyes up to the right and then back down again to Ame. Though, this can be considered minor as others may start reading on the right as it's positioned higher and then work their way down to the rest. I guess it just may depend on how people with read the layout overall.
The content in the panels themselves are great as everyone IS looking downwards and the dialogue in the first three are general enough to be read in any order depending on where you choose to start reading. And Ame herself looks great here, especially her expression.
Overall, I'd say great job with the experimentation here. Very good work!

Aye, it's definitely a case where the eyes don't really have a default place to settle. In the end, starting on the right and sliding to the left is what I do! Really it's a whole scene so I think it works either way! Thank you so much for the input!

Parenting tip, Royce-- you probably shouldn't use your own flesh and blood to win a war/fulfill any nefarious long-term goals on your part, I'm PRETTY sure that leads to a long standing animosity that will never end.
I like this aspect of Ame and how she seems uncomfortable showing her arm scars. Β Props to her for stepping up and being brave in this tense opening. Β Really love how you went with this approach for her.

I think the first three panels do their job showing everyone's reactions without stepping over one another. And Ame's close up is so pretty <3

I really like the fourth panel. The first few ones are a bit hard to process until you see the bottom part. Then it makes more sense. Maybe having the reveal of the scars first would be a better idea. Not really sure. Maybe it's just that Suko is in a white background in comparison. Interesting that the scars are a commonly known fact though. Also that Ame didn't even earn her rank. Haha
