Slade's being quite nasty, and incites spells! Do note Volaster doesn't need to use any power words for his explosions, cause he is AWESOME at it. (As noted in the spell bits on Heartcore's info page!)'A firebug in a podunk town' ...yes, Volaster/Carval's backstory is inspired by a few things, most notably the Trash Man in 'The Stand'. Volaster will even quote him, in time! I love that book whoooohmg.

this would have been hilarious if amsodai had been chatting up Emerald in the background, but that would totally ruin the seriousness meant for this scene
...but if i was here, i'd be doing it anyway, specifically to ruin the seriousness, and if it somehow miraculously neded with her hanging on my arm while we walk out i would view that as possible the most epic win in this series. but we all know that would never happen, and i'm not in this series anyway.

Yar, but that's lumping strength and magic together. Slade is crazy fast and crazy strong, but his magic is pretty bad compared to Asmodai.
Volaster would take the position of third overfiend if things had gone different!
Volaster's name is an amalgamation of the 'Vol' spell in Phantasy Star IV/now also the 'Vol' dragon in PSO2, and Rallaster, a deity associated with psychotic behavior from D&D.
