What caught my eye in this photograph is the contrast. The dark blue feathers on the pigeon are really strikingly different than the pale yellow stone fountain in the background. It's a good example of simplicity how attention is drawn to the pigeon, the background is really suitable for this picture because it isn't very sharp looking in the first place. It's really interesting the use of diagonal and horizontals, it's a good combination. The informal balance adds to that point. The only thing the photographer could have done to improve this picture is maybe taken the picture with the pigeon further back (or more to the right.) With more empty space in front of it, it would have given a better direction of movement. It would look like the pigeon was moving towards the center of attention rather than out. But the contrast makes it the center of attention anyways. Still, it's a very good quality photograph, taken with a steady hand and professional knowledge, good job!
