Description Based on a true story. The enclosed instruction book ( ) tells you about how you can level up your Pokemon by taking them for a stroll in the PokeWalker. What it DOESN'T tell you is that you can only level them up ONCE per stroll. I learned that the hard way.

Nintendo, you have failed. I guess they were trying to encourage fitness with the PokeWalker or something. Heck, if it weren't for that stupid limit, I'd probably be in shape.

Wait, if that's the case, then how the HECK did my newly hatched level 1 Togepi turn into level 44 after just one stroll?!

I have no idea... Maybe the Pokewalker was updated or something?

dont worry! think of it this way, when you gain loads of muscle by strolling everyday, BMNC will surely love you!

But I don't want BMNC to love me...

Yoorsursur does...and technically he's supposed to be an extension of yourself right? So do it for him.

But... if I get lots of muscle and BMNC falls in love with me because of it... how exactly does that help Yoosursur?

First day I got the games I took 21,000 steps on my Pokewalker ALONE. And it only went up one level.

You don't earn effort values from the Pokewalker. Effort values (EVs) do things like give you more speed for defeating speedy pokemon. You don't earn EVs from the Pokewalker, so a lv 100 Pokemon trained on the Pokewalker won't be quite as strong as a lv 100 pokemon trained on the game . Since I knew this already, I only put HM slaves on the Pokewalker and wasn't too upset when Pidgey only grew 1 lv from 7000 steps. But this comic? That was my reaction when I found out that you couldn't use the Pokewalker to obtain my favorite Pokemon before Mt. Silver, even after 7000 steps X_X. I feel your pain, funny as it may be.

I didn't intend to level up to level 100, just a high enough level to be able to beat the sh*t out of the in-game trainers.

you wouldn't have done 9000 steps and only get 361 watts! (unless you spent most of them...) I guess that's why you said 'based' on a true story... My marrep actually did 5000 and something... To go up one level! I agree with you, stupid cap! But I get little kids to run around the backyard with my pokewalkers! It's like slave labor but they're having fun, that's the main thing right?... Right?...

I waste a ton of watts on my strolls. I really did walk over 9,000 steps.

ok, then I believe you... Anyway I think I know of a way to get back at nintendo... Give them angry letters! Lots and losts and loats of angry letters! So amnny that they'll fill up the whole nntendo building (we'll do it on tecycled paper so it doesn't hurt the trees! [That way they won't yell at us])

Nintendo does not accept requests from its fans, because obviously, the adults working there know exactly what today's teenagers want.

Thanatoast250 [2010-04-05 01:48:45 +0000 UTC]

It tells you it only levels up by one level. It's a fail-safe so that it prevents people from not only getting level 100 pokemon in a day by shaking the damn thing, but also because pokemon get new moves with leveling up and stuff. It's just to prevent the growth of noobs.
