Just a couple of weeks ago, at a club meeting at my high school, I took a very important step in my life towards a higher plane of existence. It was a difficult decision to make, but I made it nonetheless. What was this life-changing series of signals that went through my toastery brain, you ask? Well...

I participated in my very first session of Dungeons & Dragons.* I've been wanting to give the game a shot for quite some time now, and at that club meeting, the perfect opportunity came up. Of course, I took that opportunity and decided to participate, along with three other players.

All of us were given pre-built builds by the dungeon master, so I had to come up with a character who fit the bill for the build I was given. After some deliberation, I took the easy way out and just made him a medieval version of myself, toaster-for-head and all. His head was actually going to be just a regular toaster at first, but then a Skullagrim video on YouTube gave me the idea to make it a specially designed helmet. I plan to write out his backstory so that he's basically a cyborg,** but in a way that kind of makes sense in a medieval fantasy setting. I look forward to developing his story more, as I have some good (and honestly very dumb) ideas for it. I may shed light on that in the near future.

I don't have much to say for the drawing process on this one. The only really remarkable thing that I can say about the process was that getting that cloak to look right was not super easy, but that's about it.

Any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated!

*While this is obviously also my very first campaign, I don't mean that the whole campaign was finished in a day. Honestly, considering the pace at which we were going, that would have been very impressive...
