Description
This wallpaper started as little cloud training. As I liked the result I thought about what else I could add. In this case I decided to go for a sci-fi topic with a large starting ship that is causing atmospheric distubances resulting in lightnings.

What I instantly like: The giant dimension of the ship and the clouds. Althoug they are a kind of rivals in the picture, the ship and the dark clouds don't really "fight", it's more like their suppose each other. The clouds effect that the ship look bigger and stronger. Also the clouds work as frame, so my eyes stick in the middle, where the main part of the story happens.
On the other hand it demonstrate the fascinating fight of the human (?) technology against the elements, with the intresting extra that the weather is caused by the ship.
The ship itself is wonderfull made: giant, mystery, and, I would say: "Cool".
Little Critique: It's a bit long, my eyes jumped from the flames on the ground to the bright top.
The foreground and middleground are nice made, especially I like that both perfectly match to the rest: The lighnight ifluents the brightness of the ground, all objects have the same quality etc. When you look closer, you can spot some intresting details like streets and trees.
The clouds are somewhere between fotorealism and wonderfull painting, that means just beautifull and impressing.
The lighting is a bit confusing, it is like there are three light sources: On the left side, outside of the picture, right side behind the clouds and behind the shuttle. On the other hand this cause a nice feeling of a thunderstorm.
To sum up, I'd like to say that this is a very catchy and interesting picture with some story behind and wonderfull detailed. Apart from a few faults it is a perfect wallpaper.
