Description Project HyperionThis was a practise-only project. Therefore the scene itself isn't that special and new. Focus was on realism and quality.

Project Hyperion is comparable to NASA's Apollo program. The goal is the moon.

I only used own stocks. Done with Photoshop and Wacom Graphire 4. Thanks a lot to *ChrisCold for his hints and feedback!

Oh, but you painted some of those clouds, or all of them, or all of them are photomanipulation? Cause i believe the white smudge in the spaceship's wake must have been painted

Seriously. Holy crap.

I don't comment on people's pictures. Like, really I comment hardly ever. I don't know why, I just don't. Funny that the only thing I can find myself to say is "Holy crap" but it's because I am seriously awestruck by this picture. It's beautiful. The subject matter doesn't even interest me, like at all. It is just an absolutely beautiful image that is rendered so well that I can only get big eyed and say "Holy crap." Excellent work my friend.

I completely fell in love with this piece the moment I saw it. I wasn't sure if it was a photograph or not at first sight, and so you have managed to perfect that aspect. The way that you showed how high up the sky really was really blew me away. It's absolutely gorgeous.
