Description
The Low Orbit CPL is a big name, for a small weapon. A basic 130mm Escort Destroyer grade CPL, the weapon is mounted on a basic tracked chassis. The weapon is designated "Low Orbit", however in reality it's intended to engage targets in the high stratosphere and incoming dropships or LSTs. Often coined the "Infantryman's Anti-Orbital", it's one of the smallest purpose-built anti-orbital weapons in the Coalition inventory. Capable of being towed by a pair of LRT-31 chassis which have been custom modified to pull the heavy weapon, the LRT-31s are designed solely for the purpose of using this weapon. The Lead LRT-31 has a high powered sensor array mast, and a much more basic sensor array mount. The Mast can be collapsed down onto the massive engine-cowling to lower the height of the vehicle and to better counter the threat of the vehicle tipping and rolling over. Due to the fact the sensors are shut down while the mast is lowered, the basic sensor array comes into play scanning for large units in the sky above. The Low Orbit CPL is designed to engage enemy troop transports, gunships, and corvettes. Because of this, the CPL's sensors are geared more towards detection of these larger units rather than things like fighters... which the CPL would have a hard time hitting.
The second LRT-31 is a high powered fusion Generator carrier. Designed to both help the lead LRT-31 Variant tow the massive weapon with it's own high powered engine, it's also designed to give the CPL it's main power supply to charge and accelerate particles. The Combination of all three units creates a potent Low-Orbit attack system capable of helping clear the skies of the smaller items that bigger assets like the Calico can't or shouldn't be engaging when there are more pressing ships in the sky. It's also an intermediate strike weapon when missiles are unable to effectively take down a target due to AMS or Point Defense systems and a weapon is needed that can't be shot down en-route.
Small and highly mobile, the Low Orbit CPL is capable of being deployed en-mass to a fighting area, sometimes moving with other LRT-31s in combat operations with infantry units. When this happens, it isn't uncommon for the Low Orbit CPL to be used as a makeshift Anti-Tank gun, bringing it's potent bite to bear in defensive fights, and occasionally being pushed backwards into position by it's LRT units to be used in a makeshift demolition mission against heavily entrenched or bunkered enemy troops.

XD
i basically fiddle around too, but recently began making individual custom parts and only a handful of fully original vehicles, things that aid greatly to the design
