I don't want to be discouraged from sharing my hard work because of a few individuals with thieving tendencies, don't ruin this for me. Thanks.
My first ever digital painting was of a Falmer (a Snow Elf from the Elder Scrolls games) crying as he watched his village slaughtered by the Nords of Skyrim. He was grown up now, we both have, and he crys now for his family's memory.
You can see the original version of this piece here
To my watchers - I'm sorry it's been nearlly a year since I've posted, I'm working on projects which can't be uploaded yet. Hopefully I'll be able to share those soon, but in the meantime here's some good ol' Elder Scrolls fan-art.

Ahh, such a pretty elf-boy. I really love the texture of his skin, and the beautiful, soft lighting. I can't even. He looks so real, and the sadness in his eyes is beautiful. This is.... AMAZING. Someday I'd love to reach this level of skill. Keep making art!

Thank you so much! This comment was so lovely to see in my inbox.
It's very doable to reach my level (which I'm not happy with, it's a bit of an artist curse to always want to be better). Just spend time and sudy, and not just studies from life and from photos but study theory. Read and watch videos about lighting, texture, form and annatomy. It can seem a bit overwhelming at first, but if you really stick at it you'll get better very quickly. I know you saw the proggression of this piece, because you left a nice comment there as well, and let me tell you, each year I gained knowledge about art and so my art improved. Time, study and practice.

♥ My pleasure. I'm always glad when my feedback is appreciated! I love to give it. c:
Haha, yes. I understand the feeling of always, always wanting to be better. All too well. Practice, practice, practice! As in everything, that's what it takes. And I know that I am getting better. Thank you for the advice, I appreciate you taking the time to give it. I think I should really pay more attention to that kind of thing.
You should be proud of your progression, it's amazing to see how far you've come. Keep up the great work.
