Well i've decided to make a tutorial about something i actually know something about. that made no sense. forgive me it's 2 AM. I spent a great deal too much time on this, and had a great deal too much fun. I am by no means an expert, but i hope this is helpful to someone.if you do anything with it, please show it to me! (and link back to the tutorial, dur)
oh and i forgot to mention in the actual tutorial- this is all done on OpenCanvas 1.1. just for the record.
i know i had something else to say but i can't for the life of me remember what it was.

Har har. My technique is so very different. I just kidn of go with the flow with the colours, but then again I don't use OC and I don't really do portraits very much. Ha ha. I like that sketch in the last step with the fairy.

I actually used this technique! Not to the extreme that you did but that's mostly because cartooning and realism are different XD
but I used more dynamic shading in my skin tones instead of the 'oh so popular' cell-shading technique
