Considering the fact that she's always been immature around naruto. He might been an idiot back then but I can count how many times he tried to be nice to her and she always rejected him. What's worse she lied that she loved him back in the land iron, she played with his feelings and we all know hinata would never do such a thing. Sakura said sasuke dosen't mean anything to her anymore, but she still had feelings and she couldn't bring herself to kill him.

You mean the "confession" Sakura made Naruto? It's simple, Sakura thought that Naruto wanted to save Sasuke for her, for the promise he made, so she tried to convince him, telling him (obviously lying) that she love him and that she no longer wanted Sasuke (she says it herself in the chapter) she lied to him because she thought he was suffering because of her.
