Description
Muses sometimes come and go but it looks like Aaron is here to stay. In the middle of our shoot yesterday I got a message telling me that a lifelong friend had passed away a few hours earlier. I told Aaron and he reached down from where he was standing on a rock above me and ran his hands through my hair and then rested his hand on my head for a few minutes. The transfer of his loving energy into my body calmed and comforted me. As we were getting ready to leave Aaron climbed up on one of the giant boulders he'd been working on and kneeled down and kissed it; thanking the earth as he always does at the end of all of our shoots. He is a rare gem, possessed of so many of those qualities that we ascribe to beauty and goodness. And he is for sure a keeper.Aaron McCoy photographed by Tom Clark in the Silver Island Mountains of Utah

The photograph is beautiful. Very few of us are fortunate enough to have "lifelong" friends, and I'm sure the loss is most difficult for you.

Thank you. Getting the news in the middle of the shoot was difficult but Aaron got me through it with his kindness and sensitivity.

no wonder I fell in love with Aaron first time I saw him in your photos... no wonder, as we see him through your eyes

He is beautiful, as much in his heart as in his body. Working with him is effortless and magical as we so completely understand each other by now. It's not uncommon in my work to have a deep connection with my models but with Aaron it's taken to a new level of sensitivity and understanding.

Sorry for your loss and you are lucky to have Aaron by your side - what a beautiful pensive portrait of Aaron, gorgeous warm colors and emotionally expressive

Tom.. This one is so mesmerizing! All the pieces are excellently placed.. the rocks.. cave.. the grass's inflorescence..muscular Aaron's pose.. the colors.. the complete mood.. I agree.. Aaron is a rare gem. (I wonder if this one was shot before or after the news)
And.. I send you warm energy as you deal w/ the absence of your lifelong friend.

Thank you Tim. I believe it was shot afterwards. While Aaron was thanking the earth for his time with her I had climbed to a tall boulder and was saying goodbye to Holly. It was a quiet and peaceful ending to the day just after sunset.
