Description
Last, but certainly not least, of the Digidogs team is Yin-Yang the Siberian Husky, whose secret identity is Laura Feltz, a 12th grade student at Howling Bay High School and reigning regional karate champion, thus earning her the ability of high-degree martial arts. She is the team's legal expert, making sure to keep her team out of as much trouble as possible, considering the fact that vigilantism is generally illegal. She is also level-headed, able to keep her cool, even when her teammates cannot. However, that does not mean one can just mess with her. Rather, the opposite is true; while T-Bone is among the last of the team one would want to mess with, Yin-Yang is the last. Her confident and level-headed attitude, along with her formidable skills in hand-to-hand combat, will enable her to make short work out of anyone who dares cross her or her teammates.

While Karen is hot and energetic, Laura is cold, reserved, and calculated, rarely letting her emotions get the better of her, making her the wisest of the team. While she is well-versed in hand-to-hand combat, Laura has a crippling fear of failure, thanks to the subtle abuse from her parents growing up. In order for her to be the best she can be, she will need to overcome this fear and embrace new, different challenges.

I am actually quite happy on how this one turned out. I found the armor design with Blaze to be a bit problematic, so I made some minor changes to the design when drawing Yin-Yang, and I think it is a little more pleasant to look at. I wanted to try a more combative stance when drawing her, and possibly the biggest challenge was getting the legs down; everything else seemed to have fallen in place, at least relatively speaking. There's not much else to say, except that I will continue to practice drawing these characters, as well as writing the stories before I lay them down in comic form. I also need to start drawing at least some of their vehicles and weapons, so I can be well-rounded before I even begin drawing panel one.

For those of you late to the party, Digidogs is my current Road Rovers inspired project featuring a team of canid superheroes who keep the town of Howling Bay and abroad safe from criminals, terrorists, and even monsters. These superheroes are not dogs that turn into anthropomorphic canines by stepping into a mutation machine, but rather a group of high school students who have the ability to switch between their human and canid forms by pressing a button on their specially-made sports watches.
