IIRC fewer than 6 of them are flyable. The Phoenix missles have been out of service for over a decade, they supposedly have some type of jury-rigged system for the I-Hawk SAM.
THey're no real issue anymore. The real issue is their Nuclear Weapons research program, not an Air Force using SU-25's and modified F-5's for their main weapons...

and I'd just tell them "Thanks for the donation", seeing as they still owe us from when we kicked the Japanese out in WW2. And what I'm talking about is Irans saber rattling, eventually, they're going to make a play for Iraq as a stepping stone to go after Israel. If they do that, we'll be obligated to assist (Israel being an Ally and all). And if China got involved on Irans side (which I see as likely), then we'll have to take them on as well, and it will be tech with high training VS good tech and high numbers.

Our soldiers need a new weapon that's more reliable, we do need new-build aircraft to replace some of the aging airframes, and we do need an effective replacement for the Minuteman Missile that's more accurate, and delivers more bang for the buck. But we also need jobs, and it's sad when hicks can see what's needed, and the Harvard educated politicians can't, and even I can figure out how to fund the projects.
