I used a broad interpretation of the SoniCruiser concept for a comic book backcover once -- mixed in with a few featues of the Concord and 747. If you want a look: [link]

You might also find these interesting for some other concepts I've done up:

and quite feasible too....my design and ideas was approved by the US FAA for safety under FAR part 25. a lot of careful thought and practical experience went into the CatLiner.

it started as an Airfix DC-10....engines were leftovers from a Doyusha 777 and a few other parts from my spares box. also did a production version that cost an MD-11 to make!

Amazing how many are still in use, some in Germany as backup, to their currently Russian Bought Frontline Su32/35s and Mig 29s. After all everbody can't afford our F16s and F/A18s, and won't be able to dream of our F-35s, and would rather opt for a Eurofighter-Typhoon. Even More amazing is our F-15 E/ESs are still being manufactured, updated, and added to the existing role of over 334 aircraft. Good thing too, since They have to take the load to cover for the C's covering the grounded As and Bs. and since the F-22 is Frozen to end production at 187 Aircraft to end run in 2011, and only 141 in active service at the end of May and of the remaining 23 of the remaining 46 in final assembly at the moment in the Marietta plant. But no country can really affors what they want as Russia wanted alot more tha their current number of Su27 Supler Flankers to supplement their Flanker 32/35Fs, and just the way we will rely on FA-18EFs and F-16Gs up to 2025, Russia will also have to rely upon their MiG 29 Fulcrum-Ss alot longer too. Speaking of which I just bought a Hasegewa 1:72 Mig-29 Fulcrum-S for my newly planned 1:72 scale collection. I saw the newest version of it perform in 2003 when it was introduced! Even though the Hornet and Fighting Falcon it competes against are roughly the same size, it is interesting to me how the platform so closely resembles the Su 32/35/37 even though that plan is longer than the F-15 or the Raptor. But the fulrum is little, has two big engines and is lightweight, nimble and sits so low to the ground too. plus like all migs has a tiny cock pit and canopy. I would not want to try to squeeze into one of those. It did great at the Farnsborough Airshow and Red Flag, and Maple flag though. Cool little plane! I will post some photos of it soon, only partially painted now though. I will finish my 1:72 collection with a Flanker-F, Super-Hornet, F-15E, and F-16G, and a Eirofighter Typhoon, and F-35A if/when available.

Easier said than allocated, especially with that tightwad Robert Gates under a completely inexperienced, know nothing like Obama. Given the uncertain economic climate, and the task that lies before us in Afghanistan, and the instabilities and challenges of N.Korea, I think all Obama wants to do is bail out Wall Street and Mortgage companies over keeping his promise "To rebuild our Military" Pfft! He cancels Raptor production of a fully tooled program that is about to lower costs and wants new Marine One helicopters for himself, when Bush already updated two of them, what a selfish backwards, numbskull!

Yup, I am wondering if the unveiling of the F-15SE Silent Eagle on March 12th, had anything to do with the Freezing of produstion funds of the F-22A Raptor at 187 planes instead of the originally proposed 360. The Silent Eagle is a Radar-Jammer, and has other abilities comparable to the Sukhoi 27/32/35s it wil be competing against for sale to countries like India, Thailand, Indonesia, and Venezuel, the other countries are to used to buying Migs and Sukhois anyway. Since Russia Has over 400 Flankers, half of which are in the south pacific region, Austraila has felt boxed in and vinerable, I am sure they will want some to supplement their aging FB-111s! they wanted Raptors, but we have prohibited them for sale indefinately. Also the F-35 would cost more than the Silent Eagle, a bargain at only 100 million a plane and no waiting for production to begin. Wee need alot of them to spplement the 144 Raptors flying and the 364 Strike Eagles. I sighned a petition to continue manufacturing the Raptor past the remaining 44 planes due to be finished past 2011, to the full 360. And I am sure I will set a stamped form letter back from my congressman and senator starting with the words; "although we dissagree" Translation, we would rather bail out the rich mis managers who cauded this mess which you, not they are paying for, and not pay to properly protect you, because we aere only interested in the short term profits of the rich, like us, after all they own us and write our laws anyway!
