Description
the Hindenburg,Pride of Nazi Germany in luxury transatlantic passenger travel service. unfortunately, due to an embargo of helium by the United States,Germany was forced to use highly inflammable and explosive hydrogen as a lifting gas. the tragic destruction of the largest airship of all time on May 6,1937 at NAS Lakehurst,NJ,spelled the end of large rigid airships to this day.Related content

Your photography is really impressive, I was looking for pics of the Hindenburg and yours are the best by far.
Mind if I ask what your copyright rules are about your work? I'm in the process of creating a logo for my band and this is the perfect picture.

Pride of Germany, Hitler and Goering hated lighter-than-air and Eckener, her great builder, despised Naziism and all its works. Β He was too famous to imprison and too visible a patriot to meet the fate of Junkers. Β That beautiful creation of peace and ingenuity met her destruction disfigured with Nazi propaganda icons.

just a digiphoto of a model on an airbrushed cloud/sky background, suspended on very thin nylon monofilament thread, with a bit of careful lighting.

Some users get their vides flagged by other users for posting inappropriate content - i.e sex, copyrighted material etc. usually youtube just deletes that particular vid but on some occasions they delete that person's account. But even ppl who just have perfectly harmless vids like mine get them flags because some people think it's funny to get them banned. Anyways it's no big deal but there are some petty minded folk out there.

She was a passenger, her name was Lady Drummond-Hay, she was a British journalist who became the first woman to fly round the world:

Vid of her here I have uploaded, about the Graf's round the world flight. She became something of a celebrity.

With Captain Pruss at the helm she flew superbly well, in the words of a woman who flew on the Graf many times, "zeppelins do not fly, they simply float, riding on the white wings of the wind."

A big airship like that looks as if it would be easily blown off course by a strong wind. Were they?
π: 0 β©: 1
TomCatDriver In reply to Garnet-43 [2008-04-09 13:54:52 +0000 UTC]
blown off course, and sometimes much worse! several giant rigid airships were torn apart by storms, and lost with crews killed. it happend to a few airships of the US Navy after which they abandoned Zeppelin-type duralumin framed ships and instead used smaller and safer non-rigid blimps until 1961.
