Oh yes, but it's mainly the customers themselves who aren't web savvy and click on spoof email attachments that tell them to enter their personal info and stuff, mainly pensioners who tend to be more easily fooled. My gran almost fell victim to a conman who called at her house last weekend claiming to be from the gas board, but luckily I was there and I asked to see his ID, he then made an excuse to leave. I then phoned up the gas board myself and was told that no meter inspections had been authorised, meaning he was a conman. So I reported him to the police. This kind of thing happens a lot over here, and these conpeople mainly target the elderly, trick their way into their homes by pretending to be legitimate callers, and pocket their life savings. I dread to think what might have happened if I hadn't been there as my gran's disabled and way too trusting of strangers.

life,s savings need to be kept somewhere safe, like a bank vault! good thing you were there.......! and we do need some better safeguards against those spoof/phishing things too! not everybody is as Web-Savvy as they should be!

Too right. These days I'm cautious about buying anything online; just wary of fraud and stuff. my mum works in a bank and the number of customers who come in with emptied bank accounts after falling victim to hackers and phishers online is shocking.

bearing in mind that airships are a bit slow compared to a jet....!

about 80 MPH maximum. economic cruise was somewhat less, about 65-ish.

faster than any steamship,at least. best they could do in those days, really more experimental than practical.

I really have a thing for airships... ultimate retro.
Is this just before they start dropping all those turkeys out of the cabin?

Sorry. It was a reference to an old episode of "WKRP in Cincinatti," where, during some sort of radio promotion for Thanksgiving, the WKRP boss decides to hire a blimp to fly over a parade or something like that, and release dozens of turkeys into the air. This happens while a member of the station is reporting on-location. He describes, with mounting horror, the plummeting turkeys and their grisly fate, using the phrase, "oh, the humanity!" A famous, often-used quote from the original reporting of the Hindenburg disaster.
As a footnote, after the ordeal is over, the Station boss says,"As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!"
