Description
uppersurface camo pattern applied to SAC B-52s during the Vietnam conflict,c.1968. BUFF,s flew at such high altitudes,{50,000+ft}invisible and inaudible, that their victims didn,t know they were there until the bombs were already hitting them. very frightening! many North Vietnamese Army and Viet Cong troops were known to just stand frozen, cry and wet their pants in terror during a B-52 strike, they called them "The Unseen Death"Related content

Save The Hog! if the USAF don,t like them,i,m sure they would look just fine in dark OD with ARMY stencilling.......sort of like an attack chopper.

attack choppers are still a nasty weapons system......and i,m sure a lot of dead tank crews would agree on that. they found out the hard way.

Eh, true enough. For places where you can't build a runway, just clear a few trees, an attack chopper is a choice that you won't likely regret.
But shoulder-launched SAM's have gotten deadly enough that even the mighty Apache and Cobra have been knocked from their perches more than once...as I'm sure that the wars in Iraq and Afganistan have proven.

Yeah, and it sucks harder the closer to the ground you get. At least, it seems that way from what everybody says.

Nice. Built this kit when I was a kid. Didn't look that good though. Knew a guy who was a tail gunner in one towards the end of Vietnam. Flew three missions and then it ended.

got enough of those kits to build a squadron! the Tamiya kit is a bit hard to come by,but very accurate. they made a D which is still available, and an F,very hard to come by!

just a bit harder to obtain,and a bit pricey,especially the F.

they must still have the molds. the Tamiya D and F are almost identical kits, just with different engines. i was gratified to see Tamiya re-release some of their 1/100 MiniJet kits recently, this way i can build them without having to dip into my stash of precious{and irreplaceable} early 70s originals!

Borders sells comic books and graphic novels and I believe Barnes and Noble does as well. The bottom fell out of the industry a number of years ago and a lot of the shops closed up. There are a couple near me.

It was an artificial spike driven by speculators. The bottom dropped out of the sports card market back in the early '90's. There was a company near us called Scoreboard that specialized in baseball and other sports and entertainment stuff and they sank faster than the "Titanic" when the market collapsed.

so many speculators need to be hanged. all they seem to do is just screw it up for everybody. BTW,you may want to take a look at a petetion to close the ENRON loophole and vote on it. should be on Google, close the enron loophole.com. we can thank a bunch of greedy speculators for our present high fuel/energy prices, and it,s time to put a stop to them!

The US is one of the countries that allows trading in petroleum futures. Some countries don't and their prices are much more stable. I think there might be the beginnings of a push to ban speculation in certain commodities.

just like the Chinese do! man,oh,man, nobody committs a crime over there and gets away with it! not even elected/appointed public officials! i saw an article once in a British newspaper where 3 officials in charge of highway construction in one of the provinces were caught having substandard work done, charging too much to Bejing and pocketing the difference........and got caught......! all 3 sentenced to execution. now if only we were that strict........!

TomCatDriver In reply to focallength [2008-02-08 23:32:22 +0000 UTC]
we do need to be a lot more strict. if not that,at least an immediate and permanent dismissal from public service, and possible jail time for offenders.
