Yeah, I know everyone craps on the remake for altering too many things (and removing some of the best scenes/lines) but that little tidbit was pretty sweet; it shows how even after death, our parents are still proud of us and love us, even when we're at our lowest points.

I had this in my sketchbook for a good while and wanted to colour something in, so I figured "why not?" I was also inspired by KingSimba's redraws that made me want to do this as well, since they're so well made that sometimes I can't tell which is which (also whiles fixing Simba's eye colour, which I also did here, which I feel others should do as well to keep with consistency). :3
