This is another shot from one of my old calendars. The model Stacey is one of the more powerful personalities that I have used in the series. Amazing looks but an even more powerful inner self. These days I teach photography and one of the best pieces of advice I give is to connect with yourself and your subject at a deep level.I believe that most humans are self absorbed. That we have been hurt and dis appointed in life and carry around emotional baggage. This baggage often comes out when people are faced with a camera. However when a model can let go of baggage and be fully present as who they really are the results are so empowering.
In this shot I beleive that Stacey is so free and in the moment. She is not concerned about the camera or for this moment life's struggles. Given that her inner sensitivity is so powerful when she is free and enjoying herself being in her presence is so inspiring. I am hoping that seeing and feeling this shot will inspire those who view it.

Very attractive woman.Β Interesting writing regarding photography, which seems to contradict the concept of making commercial "chocolate box" images that lack personality, emotion and stimulating ideas.Β However, I agree completely with the idea of allowing the personality to shine through.

Stacey is stunning in this shot, her smile is so free and infectious. I also like the blue in the wall playing off the blue in her shirt and eyes. Do you work with her anymore? I think the photos you've created with her are just amazing.

Thanks for your words. I work with Stacey every now and then. She travels alot these days and I am not doing the calendars anymore.She is still in great shape though.

It's funny how that one photo is one of the only pictures (I've seen) where she is smiling, humanizing her.
