This is another shot from one of my old calendars. The model Stacey is one of the more powerful personalities that I have used in the series. Amazing looks but an even more powerful inner self. These days I teach photography and one of the best pieces of advice I give is to connect with yourself and your subject at a deep level.

I believe that most humans are self absorbed. That we have been hurt and dis appointed in life and carry around emotional baggage. This baggage often comes out when people are faced with a camera. However when a model can let go of baggage and be fully present as who they really are the results are so empowering.

In this shot I beleive that Stacey is so free and in the moment. She is not concerned about the camera or for this moment life's struggles. Given that her inner sensitivity is so powerful when she is free and enjoying herself being in her presence is so inspiring. I am hoping that seeing and feeling this shot will inspire those who view it.
