Description The start of my 'mini' Sentai story, here's the green ranger (I say mini, because I only have three rangers planned so far). The idea came to me when I was waiting at a red light in my car and thought about street signals (Green =go, yellow =caution and red= stop) and figured it'd be an interesting theme for a Sentai. I also thought that the meaning of the lights would make for interesting personalities for the rangers.

Starting off with Green, Reggie is a hot-headed, reacting without thinking person who enjoys nothing but speed. I like the idea of having a ranger who runs off of raw emotion (if he's angry, he reacts angry without any thought). I think the pose sums him up pretty well.

Enjoy!

I have to admit, the description you gave green sounds ideal for a Red Ranger. Thus I feel giving it to the green ranger is an original move. Nice work on the pose as well

That was the twist I liked about the Green/Red Ranger. I believe it was Go-Onger that had the cocky Red Ranger, so I think this choice brings some originality to my series. Thanks!

Alas I've never watched either the sentai or the PR adaptation. I'm a little surprised to be honest as I thought a cocky red ranger would be a common theme.

And no problem. Have you thought about maybe giving them powers that affect the personality/body of their target, like if Green Drive hits someone with a beam, they are unable to stop running and are likely to crash into an obstacle?

To be honest, I couldn't get into either one. I find cars a bit too dull for me to make for an interesting ranger team (which is why I'm fascinated at the fact I had the Drive Rangers idea). I also mistyped by meaning to say that with my Red Ranger not being cocky and hot-headed, it makes more a more unique twist on Red Rangers.

I do like the idea that maybe Green could hit blinding speeds like Genta. What you mentioned could be another ability Green acquires.

Yeah I find cars difficult to get into as well. Mine gets me from a to b and while I do enjoy driving it (especially some of the more windy roads on my way into work) it's never something I've been passionate about.

And fair enough. As I've never really followed Sentai bar Gokaiger and stopped watching MMPR around the second series/movie I alas can't say either way.

I think speed works well with a green ranger who's tied to the green light for go so I look forward to seeing what you do with that.

Same here with cars. I don't get into muscle cars or tuners. I mean, if I had a lot of money then I might be interested, but now, I don't care. All I care about is making sure it runs fine.

I do more research on Sentai/PR more than watch them. I watched MMPR throughout when I was a kid. I didn't mind Zeo, but didn't watch too much of it, then lost interest once Turbo came out. I tried watching In Space, Lost Galaxy, etc but couldn't get into them. When Ninja Storm came out, I had fun with it and watched it. Dino Thunder was awesome for the sake of Tommy being back, then lost interest again. I just recently watched Samurai and since Megaforce just started, I've watched it for the sake of sparking my artistic interests.

Is it weird to say that with the Drive Rangers, I can't see them as Power Rangers, but more as a Sentai. I think it's with my latest interest in Gokaiger. Who knows?

Yeah same here, and it won't burn too much of a hole in my wallet. Unfortunatly last year I had two accidents, one where I was hit and another where I hit a barrier trying to avoid an idiot. I'm dreading my insurance renewal in September after the later. Hey ho.

I did start to get back into it when I saw Linkara's retrospective. I've also found your work has gotten me interested in it again and I've even been toying with a "One-Shot Colour Team", especially now that the current series has introduced one (bringing my list up to five). However I've not actually watched any series since I was a kid; I tried to get into Samurai but never could.

And that is an interesting note.

Yay for cars and their ridiculous costs. I bought my car from my folks and I still had to go through the dealership when I had problems due to the warranty. They would screw up SO many times that I got fed up with it and left.

I'm interested to see your One-shot team.

I plan on making the 'human' versions of my rangers some time as well. I've got several ideas for them and figured why not?

A friend of mine had a garage fix something, only for something else to break as they were doing so. I do tend to take my car to a more expensive garage and so far they've yet to screw me over but it does cost me more than I'd like.

It's basically a team made up of colours that have been used once, i.e. Orange, Navy, Crimson, Violet and Cyan. Feel free to use it yourself if you want.

And cool; I am interested in seeing what they look like, especially the aliens.
