This is another work for my AP art class. It took me two weeks to get this work completed and I'm soooo done with it. Don't even want to look at this thing anymore. Still, i'm very proud of it and I really think I did a good job for my very first ball-point pen drawing.

The theme behind this drawing has to do with the relationship between human and animals. long story short, its trying to say that humans act a lot like birds do, in the way that they are dirty and greedy. The symbol on her face is the bottom half of the Native American Anishinabe Tribe symbol. Its supposed to tie back to the idea that native americans strongly believe in the connection between humans and animals. the fortune the bird is holding reads "If you only walk in other's tracks, you will leave no footprints." It has to do with the theme of the loss of individuality within society, the main focus of the series of art pieces I am doing for class.

So, even though I'm really proud of this one and i love it dearly, I do have to credit another artist for the ref I used. The idea was all my own here, but I accidentally referenced another picture too closely and they look very similar. To avoid copyright issues, I'm giving credit to Marc Lagrange for the original photo.
