Description
There's a challenge that runs on Google+ on Friday's called the #fridayfiveminutemap [link] I've started asking for inspiration for maps each week and this week a vertical map of a tree-fort came top of the list. Here's the result. Excuse the rough sketch - but 5 mins is pretty short!I thought a bit about how you'd defend a tree fort and decided to follow nature and use a fort a bit like a weaver bird nest. You can decide the scale on this yourself, so either it's a pixie fort in a small sapling, or a dwarven griffon riders outpost in an ancient ironwood towering hundreds of feet over the surrounding land.
The encircling defensive rings around the trunk allow defenders to target visitors climbing the stairs from a distance - they don't connect to the trunk.
