You'd be suprised how much you can do with bamboo. I myself started lern CG without any tablet - and some of pieces still looks pretty good. Well, for an art that was made whith optical mouse.)
And my first tablet was Genius A6 - and you have a wonderfull bamboo! Are you kiddin' me?))) Of course you'll be alright!
