Description Started a painting of Duke's. It located on PCH and Mian St. next to the Huntington Beach pier.
I am doing lots of things wrong in the process of this painting so dont do as I do. For some reason I have been picking up some bad habbits and I dont know where from. With watercolor I usually work from back to front and work in shapes from big to middle and then small. For some reason the only thing I am doiong right is the background. I am going straight from that into finishing one object at a time. BAD ME! BAD ME!
I think that is why I am rendering so tightly. Even with all that ass backwards stuff going on I am feeling very confident that this is going to be a nice piece.

Yeah I forgot to update. lol I do have an update but I think the camera is back at my shop or in my wifes car. As soon as I locate the camera I can upload it. Other than that I havent had time to paint lately. I have been running around trying to get everything together for my booth this weekend. I have an 10' x 10" EZ-UP canopy and a 5' table but I have to figure out how to hang 7 framed originals. Do I build some kind of 8' tall display or do I try to hang them from the caonpy...? Any ideas? You also mentioned that you include a certificate with your originals. What does it say and what does it look like? I would like to do something like that as well.

OOOI am so excited for you, good luck and Gods blessings to you! As far as certificates of Authenticity I only do it for my prints. When you start making prints your printer can advise you or make them up for you. As far as hanging your work, my husband designed something for me before I got panels. It was really a pain though. I would imagine you can make your own, but for me, investing in the panels was a lot easier. [link] you can go there and see them and see what is involved. I see people use all kinds of things but I think the wire type upright things work best with some kind of material behind it, I have no idea where you get such stuff though, cause I feel if you are going to go this route you will want to eventually go with the panels, they look so much more professional and some shows require that your booth look a certain way or you can't get in.(snobs Yes it happens in the art world I hope this helped some. I am sure you will figure it all out before this weekwnd. Is your wife showing anything too? I went to her gallery and she has some really nice stuff!

Very helpful judy. thank you much.
I dont know I am ready for those panels yet. They are kind of expensive. I have to see if I can actually sell anything first.
