This was taken 15 minutes before [link]This shows how much the lighting can transform the landscape literally within a few minutes. I was trying to imagine what how the light might change the clouds as the sun continued to set, on this night the colors exceeded my expectations.
5D. 24-105mm. Circular polarizer. HDR

*_* Beautiful shot. I love how the water is still as glass and reflects the sky perfectly! Do you use any filters or mess with these at all?

I used a polarizer filter and most importantly it is an HDR image. "High Dynamic Range"

looks a bit like a digital painting with the dark edge on the shore contrasting the pale stems.

I was actually considering going back down to the water to share some beauty I was watching, but I decided to hog it like a jerk

I'm sure your town has some great places to shoot, remember the most important thing while shooting is light not subject matter.
However, having this close to home doesn't hurt either

Thanks man, I've gotten better, but my post-processing skills have much room for improvement.

This is beautiful. The muted colors are lovely and the sharpness of the photo is beautiful to behold. But my favorite aspect of this is the composition. Wonderful job!

Holie shiet! Usually I just pass these HDR-thingies.... but this really caught my attention.
Beautiful reflection on the water and the dramatic sky really make this photo worth faving!
