Yep, it's Wednesday. I have reserves for a Game Case on Saturday, and tomorrow, you will be bombarded with Guilty Gear palettes, so I will remain dormant and post cases on Saturdays and maybe some Japanese voice casts until I reach 1969 deviations. I have Revisitedecember reserved, the 2000th spoilered deviation wil commemorate 2019, and I so need a job... Either way, here's what we got this time.

#6 - My-hime (Anime Unknown/Ani-meh) - This anime, released in 2005 may have had a bad rep for sort of having "girl-on-girl love", but at least it fit the criteria. It may not have irritating "girl-on-girl love" like in Railgun, but it's... tolerable. Here's the plotline: Thirteen girls, each with the ability to materialize "Elements" and summon metallic guardians called "Childs" have been brought to Fuuka Academy to battle mysterious creatures called Orphans. Each with a different personality and background, they must decide who they truly care about and why they fight. If you wanna watch it, it's there.

#5 - Combo Ninos (Unknown Infamy) - Now this one... I thought regards that this was a rarity, like from 2008. At first, I thought "Is this a Yin Yang Yo ripoff?" Then I read the synopsis, and said "I might as well give it a shot"... And here's the synopsis if you're interested. Based off of folk tales from countries like Venezuela and Brazil, Combo Ninos follows the quest of four kids: Pilar, Paco, Azul, and Silvio. Trained under a mysterious type of Capoiera, which allows them to turn into four sacred animals, they must fight off the Devilos, which are the servants of the former mayor of the kids' village, who can't even set foot in his once beloved town anymore. So, it's got an interesting concept, it has some things that Yin Yang Yo lacks, so what's the big whoop that makes it "Infamy"? Two words: Character writing. The writing for Combo Ninos is so boring that it's like the writers weren't even trying! So yeah, in the end, it is a Yin Yang Yo ripoff.

#4 - The Prince of Tennis (Anime Unknown) - Though Viz had some troubles dubbing Rave Master and Zatch Bell before they got a handle on Bleach, not all of their original series were bad. I know I sometimes think that there is nothing interesting a sports anime might offer... but I've been positive about that genre! Eyeshield 21 and Inazuma Eleven are good, so this one should follow! And I bet you use to watch this on Toonami back then, I just know it. Here's how this anime plays: Echizen Ryoma is a young tennis prodigy who has won 4 consecutive tennis championships but who constantly lies in the shadow of his father, a former pro tennis player. He joins the Seishun Gakuen junior highschool, one of the best tennis schools in Japan, and there along with his teamates he learns to find his own type of tennis in an attempt to defeat his biggest obstacle of all: his father as well as himself. All I can say is, if you're really big on sports anime, this is a definite recommend!

#3 - Excel Saga (Anime Unknown) - It may have been no Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, but Excel Saga is pretty damn close to being in the same crack in the 4th wall. Released in 1999, this story follows Excel, a hyperactive girl who will try anything and everything to please her beloved Lord Il Palazzo, who plots world domination. Excel’s misadventures takes her and her partner, the ever-dying Hyatt, all over the world, meeting several strange people as they go. Everything is bizarre and goofy, as any kind of anime or entertainment genre gets mocked and spoofed. Put it through the blender and it still tastes the same way! You might as well be laughing your booty off once you watch it!

#2 - Legend of the Dragon (Animation Unknown) - The only way I could possibly ever hear about this cartoon was through deep browsing through some random recolor of Sam and Alex from Totally Spies. Getting its start in 2004, Legend of the Dragon may seem like a Xiaolin Showdown knockoff to you, but it's not. The show starts when the previous golden dragon has passed on to the afterlife and Ang and Ling Leung, seventeen-year-old fraternal twins are next in line for the Golden Dragon power band. Ang has no belief that he will become the Golden Dragon, as Ling is the best fighter at the dragon dojo. Ling is positive that she will become the Golden Dragon. However, when Master Chin calls upon the power of the Golden Dragon to choose who will be the next golden dragon, it chooses Ang. Humiliated and furious, Ling storms out of the temple and is tempted by the ultimate dark and evil power of the shadow dragon. From then on, Ang is forced to fight his own twin sister. Again, it's another classic tale of heart being more powerful than skill alone in the end.

#1 - Metalocalypse (Inspiring Animation) - Adult Swim can sometimes bring the best series, and sometimes it can bring trainwrecks that last no longer than a year. However, a budgeted trip through exploiting made some writers at Williams Street think "Death metal is not terrible!" In reality, death metal can sometimes be torture for the ears, but Metalocalypse is a series that actually proves that even members of a death metal band can be just like us. How it goes down is simple: Skwisgaar Skwigelf, taller than a tree. Toki Wartooth, not a bumblebee. William Murderface, Murderface Murderface. Pickles, the drummer. Doodily-doo, deet-dot, doodily-doo. Nathan Explosion. The names mentioned first before the rambling nonsense are the members of Dethklok, a death metal band so successful that they have become the 7th largest economy in the whole world! But, it's not necessarily all that pleasant at the top. You may think fans sacrificing themselves at Dethklok concerts for their own enjoyment may be the band's problem, but you're wrong! Ideas separate members of the band have can sometimes affect relationships, like Nathan having multiple girlfriends or Toki still being a boy at heart. All in all, it's pretty brutal yet funny! This is proof that this is one of the best TVMA animated series ever, and it deserves to be!
