Description
Since I'm not as productive as I'd like to be art-wise, I thought I'd share something a little different. As many know, one of my most used styles is a mixture of Traditional and Digital medims. And as luck would have it, I actually saved a copy of one of my artworksΒ - one of my favourites, Spirit World Child - where all the traditionally drawn parts were stitched together but no digital effects were applied yet, save the text. Also the medallions on Korra's dress don't count either because I worked on her separately. What exactly I think I'm going to achieve by sharing this, I don't know. Maybe I thought it would symbolize how much my digital skills have evolved and improved since I started? Or perhaps I was seeking reassurance as sometimes I feel like a fraud using these two contrasting methods together, applying digital techniques that I just can't seem to achieve traditionally + vice versa.
Either way, I thought it would be fun to show a 'Before and After' piece and get some feedback/second opinions
The Century Child Album belongs to Nightwish.
Avatar: The Legend of Korra and it's characters belong to Michael Dante DiMartino, Bryan Konietzko, and Nickolodeon.

Wow, I didn't think an unfinished version could get as much love as the final result <3
Thank you. Hopefully more art will be in the works when things are better organized at the 'Snake Pit'.

I definitely don't think you should be deleting this. It's some really nice work. Could definitely be a good portfolio pieceΒ

Gotta love physical copies. I don't care if people call me a fossil for still buying CDs, some image on a screen can never compare to something you can actually hold and have in your possession.

Same! I had a friend who got published on PDF and I always said I'd buy his book when he got it printed. I bet that he believed I was just avoiding to buy it. But he got it to be printed this week and I bought a couple of copies. I am an old one XD
