This is my entry to the 's colour contest. I have clearly chosen to interpret the brief not as 'colour this picture as nicely as you can' but instead 'apply as much colour as you can to the picture'.

This is quite dreamlike. The way you colored everything is quite interesting! Doesn't actually feel overpowering but there are intense colors in this.

OH dear, no matter how much color you've put in this, it is not unpleasant to the eyes. Actually, it's very pretty!!! I was captivated. *O*

Wow, thank you! That's a real compliment.
Honestly it just takes practice (and experimentation!). Don't be afraid to use colour that you perhaps wouldn't expect (even blue tones can look nice as highlights or shadows on a face, for example) and to really make good use of a range of shades and tones to show light and shadow.
