Description
Meiko with the Raycast treatment. This one I think came out really well.CREDITS
Meiko: Kio/Redstone222
Room: 3DCG converted by Maddoktor2 (I highly recommend this conversion version)
Meiko's Pose: You can download it here ~ drive.google.com/open?id=1IDzf… (Tda models have longer legs, so adjustments needed)
Raycast 1.5.1 with FXAA addon (yep, nothing else was used)

Yeah, RayMMD is powerful enough to stand on its own, unlike NCHL that relies on myriads of other effects (I hate that shader but I stole a lot of material fabric normalmaps from it). Anyway, you might also want to check inside your ray.conf file. There are many hidden features that are disabled by default:
Increase the shadow quality even higher (up to 8x),
Enable the RayBokeh,
Using SMAA instead of FXAA,
Change the HDR bloom style,
Anamorphic lens / glare sparkles,
Changing the tonemapping style to make the color-grading resembles either Unreal, Crytek, or Hollywood movies.
Also don't forget to utilize AtmosphericFog to make the surrounding air looks... volumey? I guess.

1. You got yourself a new YT subscriber.
2. I will be linking your work either on DA or YT as suprior examples to look at on the use this effect in an article that I will be writing for LearnMMD.
3. I did not know about the config file... so thanks for that info!
4. If I only followed tutorials on YT about this effect, I would have been seriously screwed...

Hopefully; still a pain to work with though. Might be I'm still feeling my way around it.
