Description
I'm really, really sorry about the lack of update, guys. Struggling a lot with the comic lately.I put this panel process rundown together for Draw! recently, though, and even though it's not very exciting, I figured at least it's something I could share in the meantime.
This process has gotten vastly more complicated since I started working on Lackadaisy. Pages used to be almost 100% pencil with just a little sepia tone added digitally. Now, after penciling, a panel often requires hours of additional work. (Put 12 or 15 panels together per page, and it adds up to at least part of the reason I fail so hard at regular updates.)

Other Lackadaisy stuff is here . Twitter and Facebook announce site updates too.

Amazing work, these simple steps are what my work is missing, among other things...I soaked up all your words of wisdom

wow. I still have so much to learn about digital art programs! I've only been able to dabble in the little, basic things. I don't even know what most of the tools in this tutorial do! You've really used those tools to create your own style; it's beautiful as always.

Cool! Man, I do see why it takes so long. By the way, I ordered your volume one yesterday.. do you have any estimation of when it will arrive? I'm in the U.S.

Hey whether the updates are lacking or not, I think the comic still looks gorgeous and it's worth waiting for. Besides, if I wait long enough, I can go back and read it all from the start and catch all the little bits I'd forgotten about c:
And a comic that can be read again and again and enjoyed just as much each time is a truly great read.

That is a LOT of work, but such a cinematic effect when it's done!
And I guess now we know where Fat Pawn Shop Guy fits into the story -- now we have to worry about who that is tailing Mitzi, and what his intentions are...

No worries, your story's so good that I can wait. Plus, the only thing that irritates me about online type comics it when the artist posts that they'll update at a certain time... and then the don't. Consistently. That's why I stop and have stopped reading other various comics.
But you, my dear, have nothing to worry about on that end. The art, the humour, the story are all worth waiting for.

Normally I'm a massive ass about updates, but Lackadaisy is one of those comics I never mind waiting for because of how gorgeous it is.

This is excellent! There's so much I can learn from this. Typically all I ever do is go to step 3 and call it finished. Seeing the subtlety of your shading is really profound.

The pencils were scanned at 600dpi with an Epson...one of the lower-end models. Nothing fancy, but I've found Epson always gets me better results than HP scanners do.

The quality, time, and effort you put into each of these pages is clearly visible and aways astounds me. Lackadaisy still remains one of the most well-drawn and well-scripted webcomics I've ever come across, so trust me, the lack of regular updates doesn't bother me. I enjoy every page you upload at a later date.
