I think this is actually an 18 inch gauge track from the DLS by Shortline2. Though I'm not totally sure, I haven't used the route in several months.

Locomotives are named she regardless of their name, so in a way, he is correct.

I'm not one to question SI3D as I know they are very busy but their Small Railway Engines have certainly started to look dated compared to their latest stuff. No fault of theirs of course as they are always innovating and improving their models which gives them quite a lot to do alongside creating new engines from scratch.Β So it's nice to see someone elseΒ attempting to make the small railway engines to keep up with SI3D's latest models. It looks great so far; can't wait to see theΒ finalΒ productΒ Β

I read the comments below, but I'm just making sure... is this really Northern Rock you're making? Or Jock with a different coupling system? Because it would make sense for Jock to keep the buffers and screwlink couplings.

trainboi In reply to Rose-Supreme [2013-10-30 03:25:45 +0000 UTC]
This is both engines, built to Northern Rock's drawings. Rivers Esk and Mite seem to be the only engines with hooked couplings, and I can see how these link-and-pin style couplings would be compatible with them. PresumablyΒ Rivers Esk and Mite didn't get the new couplings because they don't need them. It's like the link-and-pin system and the Janney automatic coupler over here-a link can couple to both systems(Incidentally the Janney coupler was made especially to be compatible with any other system-perhaps this was the same idea.)

Rose-Supreme In reply to trainboi [2013-10-30 10:22:07 +0000 UTC]
Well, actually, Esk and Mite have those at the front, but not on their tenders. Because they always pull trains forwards and not backwards.

It still looks nice nevertheless.
It still leaves me curious if there'll be screwlink coupling versions or not.

trainboi In reply to Rose-Supreme [2013-10-30 21:23:55 +0000 UTC]
I'll definitely do a screwlink version for Rivers Mite, Esk and Irt, but unless I find that Northern Rock or the rebuilt River Irt ever had screwlinks, I won't do them with screwlinks.

Okay, then. It just seems odd seeing a more realistic Jock lacking the coupling system used for all engines on Sodor except for the CFR.

True. It's just a simple coupling change, though. But really, you're still entitled to your choices.
